Delicious Vegan Treats with Small Portions
I love coming here for their soup & grilled cheese, and especially their brownie lava cake with ice cream, all vegan! The food serving size is small, so maybe don't come here starving. But the dessert is decadent and filling!

Amazing food, but a serious allergy concern
My experience at this restaurant was a mix of amazing food and a deeply concerning incident. The food itself was truly great, and the atmosphere was also amazing, earning top marks in both categories. However, the reason for my one-star rating is a critical lapse in allergy safety. We clearly communicated a severe peanut allergy and specifically requested that the peanut butter molten cake be clearly marked to avoid any accidental consumption. Unfortunately, the cake was marked incorrectly, leading to a friend with the allergy taking a bite and experiencing a pretty serious reaction. While we didn't need to go to the ER, the lack of care and accuracy in handling such a vital dietary restriction is a real damn shame, especially after we explicitly stated our party's special needs. Despite the delicious food, we will not be returning due to this significant safety concern.

Hidden Gem, Worth Finding!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The only trouble is knowing it exists so close to me. Now, I'll have to test my willpower to not visit too often. The food was excellent, with a perfect atmosphere and top-notch service. I highly recommend the German Chocolate Cake.

Delicious cakes, small portions, pricey
My experience at the restaurant involved enjoying some delicious cakes that were very rich in flavor. However, the portions were on the smaller side and the overall experience felt a bit pricey.

Overpriced and Underwhelming Desserts
My experience at this restaurant was largely disappointing, particularly concerning the food. I tried the girlfriend lava cake flight, which was a very small serving and extremely overpriced for the quantity received. The flavor itself wasn't great either. I also ordered a matcha latte; while I usually enjoy matcha, this one had an off-color and tasted like cheap matcha. Due to these food-related issues, I will not be returning. The service and atmosphere were the only positive aspects of my visit, both receiving a 4-star rating.

Disappointing South Seattle Location
This location has let me down. I have been to the Ballard and Cap Hill spots and I had no complaints. I ordered the peanut butter lava cake and a vanilla latte. The lava cake tasted bitter and for my latte they did not add vanilla syrup, it was like warm, and there has hardly any froth. I was very excited to have a location closer to south Seattle but I guess I will just continue to go to the Capitol Hill location.

Disappointing Experience, Won't Return
I had a really disappointing experience at this location. I ordered chocolate cake, which was bitter and tasted like vegan cake, even though I specifically asked for the regular version. They also gave me vegan ice cream when I asked for regular, and it tasted strange. To make matters worse, the ice cream didn’t melt at all when I poured hot chocolate over it. We also ordered vanilla lattes but were given cold coffee with no flavor or syrup. I’ve been to the Capital Hill location before and had a great experience with delicious food, which is why I returned. However, this visit was a major letdown. At $55 for two cakes and two lattes, I expected much better quality and service. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back to this location.

Disappointing Tomato Soup Experience
I've enjoyed the tomato soup at Capitol Hill multiple times, and it never disappoints. However, my experience trying it here was below average. It felt more like eating marinara sauce instead of soup.

Delicious Cakes, Worth the Trip!
I absolutely love this place! I've been to the one on Broadway, and this Sodo location is just as great. I'm so grateful this location is closer, allowing me to visit more often. The cakes here are top-notch, and I adore the flavors. My only wish is that they were a bit bigger, as I truly love my desserts! They are also fantastic for those with dietary restrictions, offering nondairy ice cream and gluten-free desserts, which provides many options. I will definitely be back. It's worth checking out, especially because they have a nice outdoor seating area for beautiful days. It's just perfect.

Undercooked Hot Cakes at New Location
This was my first time at this location, and I was disappointed to find that my hot cakes were undercooked. Unlike the location in Capitol Hill, the Sodo location served me hot cakes that were pure batter under the top layer. I was initially excited about the Sodo location opening because it's closer and seemed less busy, but perhaps the lack of busyness is due to them not taking their time to properly cook the food.
