Himalayan Curry and Grill - Reviews

My friend and I have frequented several Himalayan restaurants in the San Diego area, and after our favorite closed, we decided to try this place. We were immediately impressed by the beautiful interior. The service was terrific, earning a perfect score. We opted for the buffet, which is inexpensive and offers a good variety. The offerings are changed frequently, and there have been plenty of options each time we've visited (three times so far). A great point is that the food is intentionally made only a little spicy, but a spicy sauce is available to add at your discretion, ensuring the wonderful flavors are accessible to everyone. For those who prefer not to have the buffet, there is a full menu. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

It took me a minute to find a great quality Himalayan restaurant, and this is it! They have in bone tandoori chicken, and Dahl/yellow lentil soup that comes as a side with entrees. Plus, you can choose rice or butter naan as your other side. In addition to that, it was delicious :) obviously the most important part! It’ll be my new go-to place even though it’s far from my house.

My experience at this restaurant was top-notch across the board. The food variety was excellent, and the prices and quantity were great. I especially loved the daal and tea. The momo’s sizzler was simply mouth-watering. They offer great options for vegetarians, and I would highly recommend them. The service was also a perfect 5/5, and the atmosphere was equally impressive at 5/5. It's a kid-friendly place with free and plenty of parking, and reservations are not required. The noise level was quiet, making conversation easy.

My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The buffet offered an all-you-can-eat option that included a salad bar. It was a great opportunity to try a lot of different things. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was also top-notch.

Recently moved into the neighborhood & I’m SO HAPPY to know there’s an excellent Himalayan/Northern Indian/Nepali restaurant here! Plenty of leftovers. Service was great. Atmosphere was lovely. I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes.

The atmosphere was delightful, with a quiet noise level that made conversation easy, and it was rated 5/5. I highly recommend this place, especially for vegetarians as the vegetarian offerings are clearly labeled. The price per person is very affordable, ranging from $1–10.

My experience at this restaurant was wonderful. The food was delicious, with a nice variety of dishes to try. Everything new I tried was wonderful. The tandoori chicken was particularly juicy and delicious. I highly recommend the lamb curry – it was so tender, with zero gaminess and full of flavor! The service was great, and the atmosphere was nice. The ample parking was a definite bonus.
