Great Waterfront Bar Experience
My experience at The Hi Dive bar was exceptional. Located on the Embarcadero, it's conveniently close to Oracle Ball Park and San Francisco Marketplace. The bar offers ample indoor seating and an inviting patio.
The bar area itself is both entertaining and bustling. I was impressed by the service and the awesome happenings, which stemmed from the great clientele, good food, and friendly staff. It truly offers an experience unlike any other bar on the waterfront promenade.
I highly recommend it for a retreat or break from the waterfront activities. We had good times.

Great Pre-Game Spot for Giants Fans!
This is a wonderful spot for a burger or fish taco and a beer before a GIANTS game. The pregame enthusiasm for our local fans is great! It's kid-friendly, perfect for young fans to hang with their parents.
The service was excellent, rated 5/5, and the food was good, rated 4/5. The atmosphere also received a 4/5 rating. However, parking is unavailable and it's difficult to find parking.

Great Bar with a Prime Location
I meant to post this review earlier, but Hi Dive is a great bar with a great location and great people. They are situated in a prime spot along the Embarcadero with both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a great place to grab a casual drink and some bar snacks. I also have to give them a shoutout for their exceptional service.
Despite being a local, my phone was stolen right outside by Pier 28, and they were so gracious and warm to let me use their landline to get my bearings. I’ve always had a lovely experience here and recommend it as a great spot for a happy hour.

Great Food, Awesome Service, Very Noisy
My experience at the restaurant after a game was a mix of great food and excellent service, despite the very noisy atmosphere. The waitress was awesome, and the food was great. The noise level was high, but the positive aspects of the food and service made up for it.

Disappointing Nachos and Hidden Gratuity
My experience at this restaurant was largely disappointing. The nachos were served in what seemed like standing bean water, with a meager amount of steak and very little cheese. While I understood the place was packed and didn't expect perfect service, it still wasn't great.
To add to the dissatisfaction, they snuck 20% gratuity onto the check without upfront notification, and I almost tipped them double. The service definitely did not warrant a 20% tip.

A Local Gem with Fantastic Staff and Food
My experience at this restaurant was wonderful. While it's described as a dive, it truly isn't. The staff are fantastic, the food is really good, and the drinks are great.
When the weather permits, there's a decent-sized patio, and when it doesn't, there's plenty of indoor seating with bay views. This place is a real local gem.

Top 3 Coolest Bars Ever!
As visitors from out of town, we were in San Francisco for a Giants game and a show. We chose to visit Hi Dive on both nights. My wife and I are big fans of bars, having frequented many over our 35+ years of adventures together.
We can confidently say that Hi Dive is easily among the top 3 coolest bars we've ever been to. We won't say more; you simply have to experience it for yourself. Thanks again to the rad crew at Hi Dive!

Good Chowder, Okay Fish, Fun Merch
My experience at the restaurant was a mixed bag. I found the clam chowder to be really good. However, the crispy fish was just okay.
On a positive note, it's definitely worth grabbing a Hi Dive shirt for $10.
