Food Quality Declined Over Time
My experience at the restaurant was initially positive when they first opened, with the food being good. However, over time, the quality has significantly decreased, and it's now pretty mid at best. This decline makes me wonder if it's a result of falling for a propagandist.

Confusing Ghost Kitchen Experience
I couldn't find the place. It seems to be a ghost kitchen with no real eating area. Even when I went into the ghost kitchen area, there was a kiosk to order from other restaurants, but not for Hard Knox.
I walked over there only to get confused. When I called the number, I could only speak to a robot that wasn't able to answer any questions. I would recommend updating the title of the restaurant on here and on the website to be clear that this is not a real location.
I've eaten at the other Hard Knox location and was impressed, so I was very disappointed when I arrived here and couldn't eat.

Ghost Kitchen - No Actual Restaurant
There is NO RESTAURANT HERE. Please reply if I'm mistaken, but this is a ghost kitchen. You can't come here to eat a meal.
If there's a restaurant here, they've made it deliberately hard to find. Go eat at one of their actual locations, the food is quite good.

Cozy Southern Charm in SoMa
This is a small restaurant with a distinct Southern American cuisine vibe. The dishes are hearty and taste homemade. The fried chicken and mac & cheese were particularly memorable.
The decor is simple with an industrial character that fits the SoMa neighborhood. The service is friendly and unpretentious. Despite being busy during lunch, the waiting time was moderate.
The prices are affordable considering the portion sizes and quality of the food. The place feels like a local spot with a loyal following.

Ghost Kitchen Deception and Unsafe Alley
This is NOT a restaurant, it's a ghost kitchen with a single counter, and this address has over 50 restaurants registered. The worst part is this Google page is filled with misleading photos, likely from Hard Knox's actual location. Nowhere on their website does it state that the Soma location is not a real place to visit.
In fact, their website's map thumbnail points to this address. While participating in the ghost kitchen business is a separate issue, it's crucial to make it known that this is not a physical location for customers. We walked all the way over only to find this place in an alleyway with many people loitering.
We felt very unsafe due to aggressive, rude, sleeping, and urinating individuals.

Misleading Photos and Ghost Kitchen Experience
My experience was disappointing as the restaurant pictures are not correct. It is just a ghost kitchen with different types of to-go food, and no longer an eat-in restaurant. You can’t call ahead because they don’t take phone calls; there's just an automated machine stating they don’t take reservations at that location.
The Google Maps view of their SoMa location shows pictures of their closed location, which is incorrect, contrary to their response. Photos attached of ‘SoMa’ which isn’t.

Disappointing Experience, Food Lacks Flavor
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. As a business owner, I believe customer feedback is crucial for improvement. Unfortunately, the presentation was horrible; the containers were soggy with gravy, and the mess was all over the bag and other food.
I ordered 4 dinners, but they were packed as 3 in one bag and 1 in another, instead of a more sensible distribution. The muffins were smashed at the bottom of the bag, and the napkins were soiled. I will not be returning; the Clement Street location is 💯% better.
To top it off, the food lacked any flavor, and the gravy was watery. WOW HARD KNOX, you need to do better, especially considering the price we pay.

Disappointing Food, Good Cornbread
My experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing, primarily due to the food quality. The taste was generally bland, and the pork chop was extremely soft with no flavor. While the cornbread was good, the yams seemed old.
On the positive side, the delivery was fast, but unfortunately, no utensils were provided. I would not recommend this place.

Delicious Chicken and Waffles, Small Portion
My experience at the restaurant was largely positive, centered around the fries chicken with waffle, which I found to be very delicious. However, I did feel that the portion was a bit small. Otherwise, everything else was good.

Cramped Waiting, Poor Tea, So-So Food
My experience at this restaurant was largely defined by its uncomfortable waiting areas and subpar offerings. The waiting area inside is cramped, and the one outside is situated next to a dumpster, with no place to sit or eat. There's also no restroom available.
When waiting to pick up an order at the counter, a bell is needed for service. The hot tea is served in a styrofoam cup with plastic tea bags, which is disappointing for $2. 25.
The chicken, fries, and red beans were just so-so.
