My experience at this restaurant was exceptional. It's my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE sushi in the city. The food is EXTREMELY FRESH ALWAYS. We’ve been here 10+ times and it’s excellent every time. I could not ask for more. The service and atmosphere were also rated a perfect 5 out of 5.

Jiro is clearly a well-respected and skilled chef with a lot of experience. However, I just did not enjoy the omakase experience when I came here. To be fair, this was a while ago, and I should check in again.

My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The fish was incredibly fresh and super flavorful, with expertly layered flavors. It's a true hidden gem. The food was rated a 5, and the atmosphere was also a perfect 5. The price per person was between $30–50.

My experience at Hamano was truly overwhelming in the best way possible! I'd heard about Hamano on Reddit, and the sushi and service exceeded all my expectations. This place is hands down one of the best I have ever tried.

This restaurant has become a regular in my dinner rotation. The fish tastes fresh, and it's a great sushi and sake place. If I had visiting friends, this would definitely be one of the places I'd bring them.

My experience at this restaurant was centered around the food, which was truly enjoyable. The uni I had was described as smooth and buttery, and all the sashimi and sushi offered clean and distinct flavors. The service was notably fast, especially considering how busy the establishment was. I visited for my birthday dinner on a Wednesday night and found it to be comfortably busy with no trouble getting a table. Our server was incredibly attentive and on top of everything. The menu offers a more traditional Japanese selection compared to many sushi places in the area. I chose one of the chef's sets, which was very fresh and perfectly proportioned. My husband enjoyed his udon, remarking that it was just like the ones he had in Japan – fresh, simple, and good. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

My experience at this restaurant was a mix of appreciation for creativity and frustration with execution. I enjoyed the ambiance, which was rated a 4 out of 5. The food preparations were creative and well executed, with a fresh, clean approach that I appreciated for its authenticity. However, the dishes were broadly under seasoned, especially lacking salt. The service, rated a 2 out of 5, lacked attention to detail; the staff seemed busy doing nothing, and share plates and water refills required asking. I particularly enjoyed The Sunset Roll and the Noe, which was especially delicious with a bright, citric profile. The Age Dash Tofu was under salted, and the gyoza were quite good, though they offered Tabasco instead of sriracha. The Negi Udon and several nigiri were very good. The freshness of ingredients and technical approach are superb. I might return and sit at the bar.

My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The food was as good as it gets, especially when compared to what you find in Japan. The udon broth had a delightful smoky bonito flavor. The karaage was perfectly prepared with just the right amount of batter. The sushi, particularly the Boston akami, truly hit the spot. From Singapore, I can confidently say this is a must-try.

I absolutely love Hamano! As someone who works and lives in the neighborhood, I find myself visiting about twice a week. The food is consistently satisfying, especially after a long day of hard work. I also adore my 'my girls' – the servers (and the two guys too!). They always take good care of me and are incredibly welcoming.
