We absolutely fell in love with this little cafe. Due to our diets, finding a place that is so yummy was a delightful surprise. The owners were very sweet, and we can’t wait to go back.

What a cute cafe! It's a scratch kitchen, so everything is made fresh there, and you can definitely taste it in the food and drinks. We got their breakfast plate and avocado toast with some fresh OJ and a latte. The portion sizes were great and the taste was delicious! They also gave us one of their vegan apple pastries 🤤. I'm not usually a sweet pastry person, but it was so tasty!

My second year visiting San Diego, and a significant reason for choosing my accommodations was their proximity to Gooseberries Kafe. My experience was fantastic; the food is phenomenal, all home made, and the staff are incredibly warm and friendly. It's truly a great place to visit. I highly recommend it!

I visited near closing for a quick chai latte and an açaí bowl to go. The place is cute as a button, with a nice patio that's half shade and half sun. The kitchen area is visible and very clean. The service was stellar. The in-house chai was smooth, and the açaí bowl was fresh, crisp, and tasty. I would definitely come back for a true breakfast.

I love coming to this place. As someone who works in a restaurant, I feel very welcome every time I walk in. The owners are incredibly kind and warm. The food is delicious and fresh, and their drip coffee is good. The acai bowl is huge with excellent homemade nut butter, and their egg 'n biscuit is second to none. This place inspires me to have my own cafe one day and provide excellent service. Thank you, and good job!

The cafe is outdoors in a secluded patio, which is more utilitarian than beautiful. However, because the other tangibles are so good, it's very popular with us locals.
