Solid Cantonese Choice for Family Dinners
My experience at this Cantonese restaurant was pretty solid. We came for a family dinner hoping to eat crab, but unfortunately, they were sold out. The menu is quite extensive, but the staff were nice and provided helpful recommendations on popular dishes and the freshest ingredients available that day. The food was good and served in large portions. I did find it to be on the saltier and oilier side, but overall, it was not bad. The atmosphere was quite loud and busy during my weekday evening visit. Parking can be a bit challenging, requiring street parking, but it remains a solid choice for monthly family dinners.

Quality Cantonese Food with Service Hiccups
My experience at this restaurant was overall good, with quality Cantonese food. However, there was a service issue where they forgot to bring our beef balls and nearly charged us for them. It would have been appreciated if they had apologized for this honest mistake. I did see them eating the beef balls during their family meal afterwards. The service received a score of 3, atmosphere a 3, and food a 4.

Amazing Fresh Food and Attentive Staff!
My experience at this restaurant was wonderful! We found the food to be amazing and fresh. The staff was also very attentive. It's worth noting that weekends and holidays can be busy with large family groups dining.

Reasonably Priced Neighborhood Gem
My experience at this restaurant was very positive. The food was reasonably priced, especially considering the current economic climate. The service was quick and efficient. It remains a beloved neighborhood gem among many locals.

Disappointing focus on tips over service
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. It felt like they didn't care much about their food or their service. Instead, their primary concern seemed to be how much you were going to tip them.

Solid Dim Sum Spot with Great Ambiance
My experience at this restaurant was quite positive. I was impressed with the great dim sum selection and the reasonable price. The decorations and ambiance were also enjoyable. Ordering was straightforward and hassle-free. While the service was pretty average, it didn't detract significantly from the overall experience. It's a solid place along this corridor, though it looks like it can get busy on weekends.

Unique Steam Hot Pot Experience
My experience at Golden Coast was my first time trying Steam Hot Pot, a technique originating from Southern China. You select fresh seafood, meats, and vegetables, which are then cooked at your table by a server using steam. This allows you to enjoy each ingredient individually. The meal concludes with an extremely delicious rice porridge at the bottom, infused with the flavors of all the ingredients. It's a very healthy and tasty cooking method. This is a MUST try.

Solid Dim Sum at Golden Coast
My experience at Golden Coast Restaurant was a solid choice for traditional dim sum at an affordable price. While the food may not be top-tier, it's consistently good. The beer chicken pot stands out as a must-try with its rich and flavorful broth. The shrimp dumplings, beef balls, and shaomai are of regular quality, offering reliable options for dim sum lovers. Overall, it's a great spot for a satisfying and budget-friendly dim sum experience. ; ) */*

Unappetizing Food and Poor Service
My experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. The food was unappetizing, and the service attitude was poor, with many excuses offered. There was also a strange smell, which contributed to a negative overall experience.

Salty Dim Sum, Pushy Service
My experience at this restaurant involved enjoying good dim sum, though it was noted to be a little on the salty side. The tables were well kept and not too cramped, contributing to a comfortable dining space. The decor was average, fitting a typical restaurant without being particularly fancy. However, the washroom was a bit smelly, even in the early morning. The most irksome part of my visit was the service after paying the bill. After leaving a cash tip of about 13%, the server demanded a full 15%, requiring us to find an additional $3. 95. I doubt that small amount was worth the negative experience, as I will not be returning.
