My experience was focused on the food, as it's to go only and there's no seating space. However, the Pesto Veggie pizza was absolutely delicious.

My experience at this restaurant was excellent. I found the slices to be outstanding, especially considering the reasonable price. If I'm hungry and want a slice without spending too much, this is my go-to spot, alongside Tony's Slice House. Tony's offers a larger slice for a higher price, so my choice depends on my appetite.

I really appreciated that the restaurant was able to offer a vegan pizza option. I ordered the pesto veggie pizza without cheese, and it was a delicious assortment of veggies and pesto, served on a fantastic focaccia crust! My only reason for giving 4 stars is that I felt something was missing when compared to other cheese-less vegan pizzas I've had. However, I will definitely be back to try more! The staff was very helpful and nice.

On a Friday night, this place was quite busy. I walked up to the window and ordered two slices and a soda. They packed the pizza in brown bags covered in some kind of pastry paper. I walked over to the park, and getting the pizza out of the bag was not pleasant; the paper stuck to the pizza. The pizza was also not hot, which made eating it less pleasurable. The crust is light and airy, which is nice, and the cheese is barely a notch above average. The toppings were decent. Overall, I don't think it's that great. Room temperature pizza, packed in brown bags like that, is not the best strategy. If they just made sure all pizza was served hot and in some kind of box, it would have made the experience great. I will not go back and will try some other places next time.

My experience at Golden Boy was fantastic! We visited as part of a food tour through North Beach and China Town. By ordering ahead, we managed to avoid the lines. Their "Sanfrancicillian" style pizza is truly amazing. The focaccia bread was incredibly light and airy, yet crispy, and held up perfectly under a generous amount of delicious toppings. The combo pizza was outstanding. This is an absolute must-try experience while in San Francisco!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This is the second time something like this has happened to me at Golden Boy, and I’m absolutely furious — especially because this time, I had my toddler with me. I work just up the street and used to come here regularly. On this visit, I ordered a pan of pizza and a drink for takeout and even left a tip (which I now regret — tipping should not be an expectation for takeout, especially when the service is this poor). I was told my order would take 20 minutes. Since I had my child with me, we waited in the car. After 20 minutes, I went up to the window and politely asked about my order. One of the employees curtly told me, "We’ll call you when it’s ready, ” without even checking. I gave them another 15 minutes, understanding they were busy, then returned — only to be told they had given my pizza to a group of drunk girls. No apology. No offer to make it right. Just a casual, “We’ll make another one. ” By this point, we had been waiting over two hours (including the line and order time). I declined and asked for a refund. It got worse. They asked for a receipt because they “couldn’t find my order in the system. ” Funny — they didn’t ask the drunk girls for one when handing them my food. Since I couldn’t immediately find the receipt, they refunded only the pizza, not the drink or the tip. Later, I found the receipt and called back. The woman I spoke with was very apologetic and offered me a full refund and a complimentary slice. However, since they had already done a partial refund, she said I’d have to bring in the original receipt and return the refund in order to process it again correctly. Fair enough. I told her I was 20 minutes away getting my baby food and couldn’t come back before closing, and she agreed I could return the next day. Here's the kicker — she failed to mention she wouldn’t be working, and the store would be closed for the holiday.

My experience at this restaurant was fantastic, especially the pizza! I'd say it's the best pizza in San Francisco. It's pick up only, so I recommend calling your order in to avoid a wait. The dough was exceptional, with a perfect texture – a great crunch on the exterior and a good chew in the middle. I tried the combo, veggie pesto, and clam and garlic pizzas. The combo was the best by far, with a perfect ratio of toppings to cheese and sauce. The veggie pesto was still fantastic, though it could have used a bit more sauce. The clam and garlic pizza was flavorful with lots of garlic, but I was expecting more clam, or at least to be able to taste it. I will definitely come back if I'm in San Francisco again!
