Tough Steak, Disappointing Takeout
I ordered takeout and had an experience with the steak. I wish the steak had been cooked more in the box, but it wasn't cooked correctly and was tough. I probably should have expected this from a cheaper steak.

Disappointing Experience, Dirty Facilities
As one always washes their hands before and after eating, I was unfortunately disappointed. The sink was unbelievably dirty, making it impossible to wash my hands. The meats lacked flavor and were very tough. I don't know what happened to this place; I remember a few years ago everything was different, the food was delicious, and the bathrooms were clean. The service was good, but now that no longer exists. 😫😫😫

Miss this place dearly!
I miss this place dearly! I used to live right around the corner from there. The NY Strip with baked potatoe and salad was on point. I still remember when that meal was $5. 99.

Great Value Neighborhood Steakhouse Gem
This is a no-frills neighborhood diner that serves a steak meal at the best price you can find! While it took a while for us to order, and there's no tableside service, for ~$25 you get a steak, baked potato, a huge plate of salad, and garlic bread. I had their club steak, which is a fattier cut compared to the other offerings, and asked for it to be medium rare. It ended up being more medium, but was still good, and the fat was charred nicely. My favorite part of the meal was surprisingly the salad, which has a ton of ingredients including beets and reminded me a bit of the HOPR salads! It feels like a diner and has other items on the menu too. Definitely a neighborhood gem, would come back again :)

A Delicious and Charming Neighborhood Staple
My experience at this restaurant was wonderful, as it has remained delicious for the past 15 to 20 years. It's a favorite neighborhood spot and a true staple for the community. I love that it has kept the same charm. The service was great, and the New York steak and chocolate cake were fantastic. The prices are unbeatable, making it a great family spot for us over the years.

Dirty place, horrible service, unappetizing food
My experience at this restaurant was extremely unpleasant. The place was dirty, and the service was horrible. I witnessed the waitress charging customers and then preparing salads with the same hands, without gloves. The chicken was pre-cooked and not fresh, which completely ruined my appetite. The overall impression of the restaurant was so bad that I couldn't even consider eating. I also had concerns about potential pests like rats and roaches.

Good Meats, But Salad and Atmosphere Need Work
My experience at this restaurant was that of a typical neighborhood greasy spoon. The place has Formica and vinyl booths, and they serve excellent meats at good prices. My steak was very good and properly grilled. The salad was just okay, lacking anything special, and the dressing choices were limited to ranch or thousand island. They applied way too much dressing, so I suggest asking for it on the side. The baked potato was cooked correctly but was also smothered in too much butter. They offered jalapenos for everything, which was a nice touch. The toasted bread was surprisingly good, and I used it to soak up the excess butter. Overall, it was a good meal at a fair price in a clean place. I would have given higher marks if it wasn't for the salad. The atmosphere of the place isn't very inviting; it could use an upgrade, remodel, and renewal. Table service would be preferable to the cafeteria-style service they currently use. While their English wasn't great, the staff really aimed to please; they were nice, hard-working guys. Be aware that parking in the neighborhood is problematic.

Hidden Gem with Perfect Steak
My experience at this restaurant was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the club steak, which was cooked perfectly medium rare and seasoned exceptionally well. The service was okay, and while the price point for the food is significantly lower than other steak establishments, it offers great value. This place is truly a hidden jewel in San Francisco.

Tough Steak, Disappointing Experience
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. I ordered the T-bone steak, which was incredibly tough, comparable to a Michelin Tire. I ended up wasting over $50 for two people. When I informed the staff about the tough steak, their response was simply, "Okay, I'll let my boss know. " That was the end of the interaction.

Hours Discrepancy and Early Closure
I was disappointed because the restaurant's hours were not accurate. The posted hours indicated they should be open until 8: 30 PM, but when I arrived at 8: 11 PM, they were already closed. This discrepancy between the stated hours and the actual closing time was frustrating.
