Hit and Miss Food, Great Service
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The service was great, and the atmosphere was also rated highly. However, the food was definitely hit and miss.
While some dishes were excellent, others were just okay. Specifically, the Glazed Oysters with Caviar, Seared Scallops, Duck Breast, and Roast Lobster were delicious. On the other hand, the Beef Tartare and Quail were not the best.
We really appreciated the complimentary dessert and the carrot cake take-home gift.

Disappointing Mother's Day Experience
I brought my mom here for Mother's Day and had requested a booth ahead of time. Upon arrival, we were seated at a small table between two larger tables, despite several open booths being available. This felt dismissive, and the host seemed indifferent, which was particularly disappointing on a special occasion.
Unfortunately, the food didn't justify the price either, and the service didn't meet our expectations. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. We will not be returning.

Outstanding Service, Disappointing Food
My experience at Gary Danko was a tale of two halves. The service was truly outstanding; everyone was kind and attentive, and the presentation of the dishes was beautiful. However, the food was a major letdown.
The flavors didn't come together, and nothing tasted as good as it looked. For the price and prestige, I expected much better. While the service team deserves five stars, the kitchen needs serious improvement.

Big Portions, Mixed Entree Experience
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The portion sizes were surprisingly big for fine dining. While the appetizers and desserts were great, the entrees were a bit plain and didn't stand out.
The atmosphere was lovely, rated 5, and the noise level was quiet, making it easy to talk. Service was also excellent, rated 5, and food overall was rated 5.

Gary Danko: An Artistic Culinary Experience
My experience at Gary Danko was truly exceptional. This restaurant is definitely one of the top-notch restaurants in San Francisco, absolutely worth trying. The food feels like art, with the chef putting so much soul into every dish.
The team was incredibly welcoming and attentive, contributing to a wonderful atmosphere. I especially recommend the lobster risotto and the cheese plate, which offered such a beautiful variety. If you’re visiting San Francisco, or even if you live here, this is a spot you should definitely have on your map.

Perfect Birthday Celebration at Gary Danko!
My experience at Gary Danko was nothing short of exceptional. There was absolutely nothing negative to complain about; every single bite and drink was prepared to perfection. The service was consistently professional throughout our entire visit.
They truly made our very special birthday celebration memorable and even more special by providing extra complimentary sweets and cakes. I absolutely cannot wait to return! Thank you, Gary Danko!

Beautiful Views, Disappointing Service
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The location on Pier 39 was truly beautiful, offering a great view and appealing decoration. I particularly enjoyed the BBQ Ribs, which were really delicious and served in an adequate portion.
However, the prices were quite high, and the service was slow, leading to a long wait for the food. Additionally, some of the tables were unkempt and sticky. Overall, it was a rather average experience.

Good Presentation, Lacking Flavor Depth
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. While the food was nicely presented, the taste could have been better. For a fine dining experience, I expected a bit more depth and creativity in the flavors.
The service was excellent, receiving a perfect score, and the atmosphere was also highly rated at 5. The noise level was quiet, making it easy to talk. The price per person was $100+.
