My experience at this restaurant was deeply meaningful and transformative. As a transracial Chinese adoptee, I never had the opportunity to experience traditional and authentic Chinese food growing up. This restaurant provided a visceral connection to my culture of origin through its food. The dishes, specifically the Chong Qing Numbing Spicy Noodle ($14) and the Liuzhou Spicy Rice Noodle Soup ($16), were incredibly familiar yet new, awakening my taste buds to comforting flavors. It truly tasted like home and fostered a deep connection to my heritage. I am so grateful to have stumbled upon this place and experienced such fulfilling and wholesome Chinese cuisine.

My experience at the restaurant was fantastic! The Szechuan numbing spicy hot pot was a definite highlight and a great choice. To balance the spice, the desserts were a perfect addition, especially the chocolate bao and brown sugar rice cakes. The variety of dumplings and baos was amazing, offering something for everyone. Beyond the food, the vibes of the restaurant were also great, contributing to a wonderful overall experience.

My experience involved trying a couple of different bao. The pork bao was good but on the plain side. However, the General Tso's bao was really good, and I would get it again.

My experience at the restaurant was fantastic! I tried the tea smoked duck for the first time, and it was absolutely delicious. The kung pao baos were also very good. Beyond the amazing food, the service was great, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the cool art everywhere added to the experience.

My experience at the restaurant involved trying a variety of dumplings. We ordered the pork soup dumplings, pan-fried dumplings served on a unique stand, and black sesame dumplings. The soup dumplings were acceptable but unremarkable, and the accompanying sauces were basic. I was surprised to find that the pan-fried dumplings also contained soup. They were larger and had a doughier texture, making them more difficult to eat, certainly not a one-bite item. While the filling was fine, the dough was too thick for my preference. However, the black sesame dumplings were absolutely DELICIOUS, warm, and had a wonderfully oozy center. The staff were exceptionally attentive and quick to assist when my friend spilled his drink. The ambiance offered an interesting blend of traditional and modern elements.

Perhaps we ordered food that didn't align with our preferences, but the fact is, we didn't particularly enjoy it. The food received a score of 3 out of 5, while service and atmosphere were rated a solid 4. Reservations are recommended, and the price per person is between $20–30 for dinner. The noise level was moderate.

My experience at this restaurant was largely disappointing. The food was generally bland. The fried rice was mushy and oddly contained chickpeas. The steamed pork buns had soggy bottoms with meat falling out, and the pan-fried buns tasted yeasty with a mushy filling. The Peking duck did not taste like duck, was heavy on onions, and the presentation of a plate within a plate made it feel like they were skimping on the meat portion; it primarily tasted of sauce. The advertised sizzling stone Wagyu was fully cooked upon arrival and had grisly parts. We were surprised that all the dishes we received were disappointing. The service was slow, and it felt like the restaurant prioritized plating and aesthetics over flavor.

This was our first stop upon arriving in San Francisco for the first time, and it was some of the best food we’ve ever had! We enjoyed the pork soup dumplings, cheese & corn pan-fried bao, green onion pancake, and the chocolate dumplings. The food came out incredibly fast, and the staff were so nice. Highly recommend to everyone who visits!

Last night, my husband and I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and it left us smiling from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with soft lighting and just the right amount of background music to create a comfortable, relaxed mood. The service was attentive without ever feeling intrusive. Our server took the time to explain the menu, offer thoughtful recommendations, and check in on us at the perfect moments. Drinks arrived quickly, and water glasses were always kept full without us having to ask. The food itself was outstanding. Each dish was beautifully presented and perfectly balanced in flavor. My entrée was cooked exactly as I requested, tender and flavorful, and the side dishes complemented it wonderfully. What really stood out was the attention to detail — everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared, from the first bite to the last. Overall, it was a seamless experience that reminded me how enjoyable dining out can be when service, food, and ambiance all come together so well. I left feeling satisfied, appreciated, and eager to return.

My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I had some of the best dumplings I've ever tasted. The service was exceptional; the server was attentive and quickly sensed my mood. They were prompt in clearing dishes, checked on me regularly, and provided great recommendations. I would definitely go back, and for the first time, I left a 30% tip, which was well-earned.
