Hidden Gem for Top-Tier Sushi
I was absolutely blown away by this sushi spot. It’s a hidden gem with the perfect mix of cozy romantic ambiance and truly top tier sushi. The lighting is soft and intimate, which makes it ideal for a date night or a quiet evening to treat yourself.
The nigiri is next level – fresh, delicate, and full of flavor. I highly recommend sitting at the bar and letting the chef choose a few pieces for you if you’re open-minded. Because of the chef, I discovered that I absolutely LOVE Horse Mackerel Nigiri, Kutuso, and Shima Aji.
These were things I probably never would have picked on my own, but now I can’t stop craving them. Every piece felt like it was crafted with care and precision. You can really taste the passion and expertise behind each bite.
I'm already dreaming about my next visit. It's easily one of my favorite sushi experiences in the Mission.

Terrible Service, Decent Food
My experience at this restaurant was largely negative due to terrible service. We were seated at the back and felt completely forgotten, with our order taking over 45 minutes to arrive. Despite multiple reminders, the staff made no effort to expedite it.
They offered some subpar jerky on the house, which was honestly one of the worst I've ever had, while we continued to wait for our delayed meal. It was one of the worst $175+ I've ever spent in my life.

Best Japanese Food in SF!
After living in Tokyo for many years, I've struggled to find comparable Japanese food in SF. Until I discovered this gem! It's the best Japanese food, especially the nigiri omakase, miso walu, oxtail soup, and flame torched saba (mackeral).
The wonderful service and chic izakaya ambiance made for a fantastic experience. I'd give it 6 stars if I could!

Authentic Sushi with Accommodating Chef
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The sushis were incredibly fresh, featuring real crabs and premium fishes. I especially enjoyed the rice.
For any special requests, Georges, the chef and owner, is very accommodating. It's always a pleasure to dine here.

Excellent Sushi and Izakaya Blend
My experience at this restaurant was great. It's impressive how they excel at both sushi (omakase format) and Izakaya food, a rare feat. The quality is evident, deserving of its high rating.
I believe it should be a Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient. The Udon was among the best I've had, and the nigiri featured a perfect rice fish combo. The fish was excellent, and the rice was cooked just right.
While I could nitpick about optimizing the rice temperature for an even higher level of perfection, the dish is already fantastic. Overall, it was a great experience with good service. I don't usually leave reviews, but this place is definitely worth checking out.
It's the quintessential neighborhood sushi spot with a genuine Izakaya experience as well.

Hidden Gem Omakase Experience
My experience at this restaurant was an incredible, personalized one, especially sitting at the sushi counter. This spot is a true hidden gem and offered some of the best omakase I've ever had. The blue shrimp omakase, halibut, and scallop app were particular favorites.
Overall, it was a 10/10 experience.

Oxtail Pot Delight, Salty Rice
I always come here for their Oxtail Pot, which I highly recommend for any soup lovers! The Nigiris are great, though not overwhelmingly so. Compared to other Omakase places in the city, I feel that the rice is typically too seasoned with soy sauce, making it a little salty.
I wouldn’t recommend the squid karage as it’s too greasy, based on multiple experiences. Regardless, I still love their warm, romantic vibe overall! It's great for dates or catching up with friends.

Disappointing Maki, Expensive Sashimi
Overall, I was satisfied with my experience, but I went to this restaurant specifically for their maki/rolls. Unfortunately, they no longer serve them, despite being advertised on their website. Additionally, the sashimi was very expensive.
The service, atmosphere, and food quality were all rated highly (5/5), and the noise level was quiet, making conversation easy.

Unwelcoming Sushi Chef, Okay Service
I showed up 45 minutes before closing and was told by the sushi chef that they were just closing up. However, the waitress intervened and said, "No, sit down. " After that interaction, I felt it was best not to eat there, as the chef clearly didn't want us there.
It seemed like they had already made enough money. I won't be going back.

Excellent Sushi, Relaxed Pace
My experience at this restaurant was marked by excellent sushi and enjoyable light udon/donburi dishes. The atmosphere was fantastic, rated a 5 out of 5. However, the service was a little slow, so it's a place to relax and take your time with the meal.
Overall, the food was rated a 5 out of 5.
