Good Food, Terrible Aftermath
The food was great during my visit. However, upon returning home, I experienced the worst food poisoning I've had in nearly 7 years. I was sick for over an hour, and my partner also became ill.
It appears the establishment may not be practicing sanitary conduct, despite the otherwise good taste of their food.

Authentic Filipino Flavors & Warm Welcome
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I discovered them on Instagram while searching for "isawan" in San Diego, and the vibe was exactly as others mentioned – on point! I absolutely loved the atmosphere.
From the moment we stepped out of the car, we were warmly greeted by Kuya, who I believe is the owner. He welcomed us, and upon learning it was our first time, he kindly guided us through the menu and highlighted their specialties. We sampled the beef pares and sisig, and they were absolutely bomb!
We ended up ordering the beef pares, sisig, and beef mami, which were "saraaaapp! " Thank you for treating us like family and making us feel so welcome. We will definitely be back!

Authentic Filipino Street Food Fun
If you're craving an unforgettable Filipino street food experience, Eskinita in San Diego is a must-visit. From the moment you arrive, the energy is palpable, with lively music, the aroma of sizzling meat, and the warm welcome from staff making you feel like you've stepped into a bustling night market in Manila. What truly sets Eskinita apart is the interactive dining experience.
Each table comes with its own charcoal grill, allowing guests to cook their skewers to perfection. There's something incredibly satisfying about hearing the sizzle and watching the pork belly, longanisa, and isaw caramelize right in front of you. It’s not just dinner; it’s a shared ritual that brings people together.
The food itself is phenomenal. Every skewer bursts with authentic Filipino flavor, from the sweet savory glaze on the BBQ pork to the rich umami of the beef pares. The ingredients are fresh, the marinades are spot-on, and the variety is impressive.
Don’t skip the ube ice cream for dessert. It’s the perfect cool-down after the heat of the grill. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, with friendly staff who treat you like family.
Whether you're Filipino or just discovering the cuisine, Eskinita offers a genuine taste of the Philippines with a twist of DIY fun. It’s more than a meal, it’s a celebration of culture, flavor, and community. Highly recommended for anyone looking to spice up their dinner plans with something deliciously different.

Authentic Filipino Street Food Experience!
Our group of 17, including family visiting from out of state, had a wonderful time at this Filipino street food spot. The experience brought back fond memories of growing up in the Philippines. We loved choosing our food and grilling it ourselves, just like back home.
The pares and sisig were outstanding, and they offer a wide variety of Filipino snacks. Highly recommend! Plenty of Parking!

Unorganized Experience, Sauce Issues
My first time trying the food here, and I guess it's not bad. It felt similar to Totos Grill and Dollar, with no significant difference. However, I just felt like this place was unorganized.
I got my food and went to grill it, looking for the sauce. When I went inside, they had run out of the sauce. I asked, and then waited about 8 to 15 minutes while people were arguing.
Also, I don't know the exact price, but I got 13 sticks plus a small sisig for $43. I initially thought the sisig was dinuguan, hahaha. It was swimming with oil.

Authentic Manila Taste, Great Service!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The owner was very nice and approachable, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. The food was incredibly good and tasty.
If you grew up around Manila, the taste is definitely reminiscent of the ones in Manila. My favorite was the vinegar, which was the best for sure. I will definitely recommend this place and plan to come back again.
