I was highly disappointed with my experience. The food was overall dry, and there was little engagement with the staff. I did not feel like it was worth the price nor my time on a Saturday night, which was a bummer. I’ve been looking for one of the best filet mignon in San Francisco, and this did not deliver.

My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. While the service was excellent and the view was beautiful, the food was not as good as I expected. For the prices charged, which felt a bit exaggerated, I anticipated a much better culinary experience. The drinks were also on the pricier side. However, the ambiance of the place was lovely, and the staff made up for the food shortcomings with their great service.

We ordered the pork chop, and upon noticing it looked undercooked, we immediately asked our server if it was safe to eat. We were assured it was fine, but later that night, both my companion and I became sick. While accidents can happen, the complete lack of response from management is truly unacceptable. I have been emailing and calling for four days straight with no reply. Their automated system loops endlessly, making it impossible to speak to a real person. For a restaurant charging premium prices, I expected at least a basic level of professionalism and concern for guest wellbeing. Between the undercooked food, getting sick, and being completely ignored afterward, I cannot recommend this place. Epic Steak failed in both quality and customer service.

My experience at this restaurant was wonderful, especially for celebrating an occasion. They serve prime ribs only on Sundays and Mondays, which we enjoyed a couple of times. The portion is generous and delicious, and the service is very attentive with a smile. The atmosphere is that of an old traditional style restaurant, which was comfortable. We sat by the window with a Bay Bridge view, and the choice of seating was second to none. It's also just a few steps' walk to the Ferry building, with many interesting shops to explore.

As a waitress with over 25 years of experience, I was taken aback when the waiter seemed to discourage us from looking at the extensive wine menu, implying we couldn't afford a bottle by suggesting wine by the glass. We were also discouraged from ordering extra sides, which felt unnecessary as we knew the prices and would have chosen elsewhere if affordability was an issue. Towards the end of the meal, I felt we were being watched, as if suspected of dine-and-dash, perhaps due to our tourist attire. We did receive complimentary desserts for the birthdays, and the waiter became more friendly after receiving a generous tip. While I would definitely return for the food and view, I sincerely hope the service improves.

We celebrated our friends' 25th wedding anniversary here, and it was a wonderful experience. The service was excellent; they even went the extra mile by printing a special anniversary message on our menus. The food was delicious, with everyone's steak cooked perfectly to their own specifications. It was truly a memorable meal.
