A Moroccan Feast for the Senses
My experience at El Mansour in San Francisco’s Outer Richmond was like stepping into a different world, a true feast for the senses. The restaurant’s interior is draped in authentic Moroccan textiles, lanterns, and ornate décor, instantly setting the mood for a magical evening. Whether celebrating a special occasion or craving something extraordinary, this place delivers.
🍽️ The food offers equally indulgent Moroccan classics. The Chicken Bastilla is a standout, a sweet-savory pastry filled with spiced chicken and almonds. Rich, aromatic, and deeply satisfying dishes like Lamb with prunes and honey, Moroccan seafood tagine, and eggplant dishes were found.
Portions are generous, and the flavors are bold yet balanced, with fragrant spices and slow-cooked tenderness in every bite. 💃 The experience was enhanced by a mesmerizing belly dance performance every evening, adding a festive, immersive touch. Guests are often invited to join in, making it interactive and fun.
The staff is warm and attentive, going out of their way to make me feel welcome and cared for.

Unique Experience with Great Food!
This was a completely unique experience for me, and I loved it! Everything was great. My favorite was the Chicken shish-kabob.
I'm not sure if this is a nightly occurrence, but there was a bell dancer who performed. She was really good and even involved the diners. I hope it's alright to post her name here, May Yang (pronounced 'my'), and I hope to see her perform again.

Amazing Moroccan Food and Service!
My experience at this restaurant was truly wonderful. Our waiter, Adil, was incredibly warm and welcoming. The belly dancer was amazing and all smiling, I could see the passion when she dances.
As a Moroccan myself, I can attest that the food was really good and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Amazing Food and Atmosphere!
Our waiter, Adir, did a great job serving our big crowd. The food was amazing. We ordered the King's Feast, and the lamb was delicious, the chicken was so soft and flavorful, and the kebab was also good.
The atmosphere and ambiance were beautiful, and the belly dancer was entertaining. We all had a great time.

Embarrassing Performance, Slow Service, High Price
I went to this restaurant based on advertisements, but my experience was far from what I expected. Upon arrival, a Chinese dancer performed an Arabic dance, which was quite out of place and poorly executed, not matching her style at all. This was one of the worst experiences I've had, especially as I had guests with me, leading to an embarrassing situation.
The food service was extremely slow, and the Arabic dance performance was below zero. To top it off, the restaurant charged a lot of money, which was definitely not worth it.

Disappointing Vegetarian Experience
My dinner experience at this restaurant was the worst I've had in San Francisco. Despite having a vegetarian menu, every dish was disappointing and frankly, bad. The soup was excessively salty.
The appetizer plate, which included pickled carrots, tomato and cucumber salad, and eggplant, was stale and tasteless. The veggie stuffed pancake was particularly strange, with scrambled vegetables topped with a lot of powdered sugar. The only other vegetarian option was a bland couscous dish with zucchini and carrots, served with orange and apple (?), which felt pre-made.
We skipped dessert, and even the tea was super sweet. The only positive aspect was the belly dancing performance; the artist was very good and engaging. However, for such poor food quality, they charged an 18% gratuity for two people, even after we tipped the performer separately.
This was an expensive dinner, and we left hungry. I definitely won't be back.

Overpriced and poorly seasoned food
My experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing. I found that the dishes I tried were lacking in flavor, with an overwhelming presence of either salt or sugar. It felt like the kitchen only had these two seasonings.
I was shocked by the high prices, especially considering the quality of food provided. For $150 for two people, it felt like a complete rip-off. I would not recommend this place at all.
