Unique XLB Flavors & Delicious Appetizer!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The food was yummy, especially the unique flavors of XLB (soup dumplings) like sinigang and pho, which were fun to try. The cucumber appetizer was also soooooo good, everyone at the table wanted more, dare I say better than the ones at Din Tai Fung.
We went on a weekday when it wasn't busy, so the service was fast and they were really nice. The atmosphere was also great, rated a 5!

Okay Asian Food, Pricey Menu
My experience at this Asian restaurant was okay. The food was decent, but the menu was expensive for the small portion sizes. The dumplings were good, and it's a good stop before a game, as it gets busy about an hour beforehand.

Solid Asian Option Near Chase
If you're craving Asian food before a game or concert at Chase, this is a solid spot. The food isn't something to write home about, but it does the job. For the price of a chicken tenders meal at Chase, you can get a tastier dish here.
Service was good, and while the restaurant was a bit cramped, it was good that they could accommodate a lot of people.

Great Dumplings, Convenient Location
My parents were visiting SF and had never been to Dumpling Time, so I was looking forward to bringing them here and showing them around the area. This location by Chase Center is super convenient — easy to get to by public transit or other means. With other restaurants, shops, and (usually) events going on nearby, the neighbourhood is fun to explore, but it also means the restaurant can get predictably busy on game or event days.
Fortunately, this visit wasn’t one of those days, so we didn’t need a reservation (for 4). We ordered a bunch of dishes to share family-style, which is definitely the way to go since there are so many goodies to try. My go-tos are the pork XLB, lamb dumplings, and the trio of buns for dessert, but tbh everything I’ve had here has been solid.

Confused by Design District's Popularity
I’m confused that the spot in the Design District is heavily lauded, but is not on DoorDash. I would like a response as to why, because the other favorites of SF are on DoorDash and still fantastic. Specifically, everything was so bland compared to your competitors.
Shanghai Dumpling King, which is a 2x cheaper option, is so much better. Sorry for the blunt feedback, but I want y'all to be better :)

Terrible Service, Won't Return
I attended the Lavar Cup on Sunday and decided to swing by this restaurant. My experience was marked by terrible service. None of the waiters or waitresses greeted us or seated us; we had to ask the bartender for assistance.
Once seated, the servers intentionally kept avoiding our table and provided incomplete or incorrect orders. Due to the poor service, I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Horrible Toilets and Inauthentic Chinese Food
My experience at this restaurant was quite unpleasant, primarily due to the super gross toilet facilities. I understand that being in the Chase Center might lead to overpriced items, but the food quality was far from authentic Chinese. The most frustrating aspect was that the toilets didn't flush, making them super gross.
When I brought this to the attention of the waiter and waitress, they lied directly to my face, claiming the toilets were working. It's unacceptable to charge 2 to 3 times the regular price and not even maintain basic facilities like functioning toilets.

Great Food, Poor Service Experience
My experience at the restaurant was a mix of excellent food and very poor service. The food was great, earning an 8/10. However, the service was a significant letdown.
The waitress repeatedly asked me what drink I wanted, even after I clearly stated my choice, seeming more interested in pushing her own suggestions. This lack of attentiveness extended to the table itself; dirty napkins from a small water spill remained for our entire 45-minute stay. Furthermore, no waiters approached us for refills or additional orders, despite the restaurant being only half-empty.
I would advise the staff to listen to the customer more effectively.

Okay Food, Overpriced, Dry Ribs
My friend who works across the street told me how amazing this place is. We came here for an evening date, and it was a good environment. We are from another state, but we’ve had dumplings and dim sum recently in the Richmond district a few weeks prior.
The food was overpriced and it tasted okay. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t impressive either. My only complaint would be the ribs; they were very dry with little meat on it.
The presentation of the food has been great, but I think we’ll go other places for this style of cuisine.

Tiny Portions, Flavorful Food
I had a light dinner here before Keshi's SF concert. The place was surprisingly empty at 5 pm, and we were seated right away. We ordered the Beijing Noodles and Pork Xiaolongbao to split between four people.
The dishes were flavorful and refreshing, but the portions were teeny tiny for the price. I wouldn't eat here again out of consideration for my wallet.
