Rude Owner, Terrible Service
My experience at this restaurant was extremely negative due to the owner's rude and unprofessional behavior. She directed her anger towards customers and even demanded tips for to-go orders. Despite being a loyal customer for over 10 years, I will not be returning for my Greek food fix and am now seeking a new Greek restaurant.

Excellent Food, Great Service, Good Value
My experience at this restaurant was very positive. The owner/waiter was incredibly nice and even helped my daughter connect to their wifi. The food was excellent, and the prices were relatively cheap.
Overall, it's a very nice place, and I will definitely be returning!

Dino's Gyros: Consistently Great!
As long-term clients of Dino's Gyros Greek Cafe & Taverna, we've experienced their offerings both in-person and via DoorDash. Our absolute favorite is the Lamp Kabob Plate, served with fries and salad. It's consistently GREAT!
, cooked to perfection. We're always served by long-term staff members who have been with Dino's for over 22 years. Dino's is truly Dynamic and "Earns all 5 Stars" with every order we enjoy.
We are happy customers!

Okay Gyro, Skimpy on Meat
My experience at this strip mall Greek restaurant was acceptable. I ordered the gyro sandwich for $14. 50 in July 2025.
While it was okay, I found it to be skimpy on the meat and the tzatziki sauce was a little bland. It's not fine dining, but it's an acceptable option if you're in the area and craving Greek food. I would suggest trying a different dish.

Disappointing Platter Experience
My first time trying this restaurant was today, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The platter I ordered was supposed to include pastitsio as one of its four items, but it was missing. While the spanakopita was hot, crispy, and delicious, the moussaka was almost stone cold.
The gyros were just okay, not remarkable. The entire order was unceremoniously dumped into a regular takeout container, all mashed together, with a bed of lettuce that had wilted by the time I got to it. The fries were barely warm but tasty.
Most of the food was very bland. I haven't tried the salad yet. Overall, I was very disappointed.

Disappointing Greek Food Experience
My experience at this restaurant was far from the anticipated "awesome" Greek food, specifically a gyro. It's surprising how a place can fail to represent the culture of Greece, especially when good Greek food is generally easy to make and a delight to eat. The prices were also a joke.
This restaurant left me wondering, "how does this place exist? "

Hidden Gem: Authentic Greek Delight
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! It's a hidden San Diego gem, tucked away in Clairmont mall, and one of the last non-franchised family Greek restaurants in the county. The menu is great, and the food is absolutely fantastic and delicious.
The staff is always friendly, contributing to a relaxing atmosphere. The space is roomy and spacious, and the patio dining is lovely. They never make you feel rushed or unappreciated, making it excellent for parties and events.
I highly recommend trying the Greek desserts – they are heaven!

Delicious Gyro Meal Deal!
I recently visited this restaurant and ordered the Gyro meal deal, which included a modest-sized gyro sandwich, a small soda, and crispy, crunchy fries with a side of tzatziki. The meal was priced at $14. 25 with tip.
I also purchased a $5 Stella Artois and a chocolate baklava. My total bill, including an 18% tip, came to $29. 88.
While it was a bit of a wallet-buster, I found it to be a reasonable price for a mall sit-down restaurant. Everything was soooo good! The individual manning the register was also excellent at the job.
My friend and I left feeling full but not uncomfortably stuffed. I was very satisfied with my experience!

A Clairemont Gem for Decades
My experience at Dinos has been a long-standing one, as I've been eating here since high school. It remains a staple in Clairemont after 30 years. I particularly enjoy the gyro plate.
The staff is fun, and the owner makes all guests feel like lifelong friends. I appreciate the outdoor concerts and the support for local sports teams like the SD Gulls. There's also a bar inside for a pint.
Dinos is an integral part of the Clairemont square.

Terrible Food Experience
My experience at this restaurant was overwhelmingly negative due to the food quality. The "meat" was a compound mix that tasted like soy, and nothing seemed fresh. Everything tasted like it came from a freezer and was reheated.
I will never be coming back!
