Great Hangout with Delicious Pretzels
My experience at this restaurant was initially a bit rocky as the staff seemed stressed and a bit mean when we first arrived. However, the service quickly improved, and overall, it's a great place to hang out and have a beer. The pretzels were absolutely delicious.

Amazing Food and Great Service!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic. I initially thought it was just a place for beer, but their food is actually amazing. The manager, Keith, personally came over to speak with us and shared details about their new chef and their efforts to revitalize the establishment.
The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was great. I highly recommend this place!

Amazing Food and Service!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The staff have ALWAYS been super awesome. While they can get busy and require a little patience, it is ALWAYS worth it.
The food is exceptional; they recently upgraded the menu and the Grenade burger is my new favorite. I'm not typically a burger person, but this is a UNIQUELY delicious burger. The playlist is also a highlight, perfect for a chill rainy afternoon, creating a 2000, 2010 vibe.
The cocktails are PERFECT and REASONABLY PRICED for Seattle! 💵🦾 Later, after complimenting them on the "Grenade" burger, they invited us to try a new menu item they were considering. We said yes, and it was incredible: homemade apple pockets with homemade vanilla cheesecake cream and ginger cheesecake cream with salted caramel on the side!
They have truly ruined this place for me in the best way possible! 🤣 I'm going to demand these every time, which will surely RUIN my waistline! 🤣🤣🤣🎉🙏❤️❤️❤️

Mixed German Fare with Outstanding Service
We hadn't been to this restaurant in a while and found the menu offered a good variety. I was hoping for a braut and a beer, and the beer selection was very good, with a lighter dark lager available. However, the braut itself was disappointing as it was smothered in too much ketchup and mustard; I'd recommend getting condiments on the side.
Similarly, the beet salad had way too much dressing, so that should also be served separately. The onion dish, slaw, and sauerkraut were pretty good. I also found the bun to be too crunchy and hard to eat, preferring it not toasted.
Our server, Delaney, was outstanding – friendly, personable, and attentive. While there aren't many German dining options north of the city, I won't be returning soon. The lack of a happy hour is not an incentive, and parking is a pain.
Prices were on the high side. We visited around 4 pm on a weekday, so the atmosphere was very quiet with few people. Allowing dogs inside is a definite plus.

Disappointing Food Experience
My experience at this restaurant was largely defined by the food. I found the pretzel to be very firm, and the beer cheese was only marginal. The gnocchi were gummy and served in a bowl of oil and grease.
While the service received a 4 and the atmosphere a 3, the food score of 2 truly reflects the disappointing culinary experience.

Disappointing Seattle Dog and German Food
My experience at this restaurant was mixed. While the service was good, really prompt and attentive, the food was a letdown for most of my table. I personally didn't care for the tweaks to the classic German dishes, though my tablemates found them edible.
The prices were okay and the portions decent, with a couple of us satisfied with our meals, but the rest of the table was left disappointed. I understand the desire to make dishes unique, but certain German dishes and the classic Seattle Dog don't need fixing. I was excited to try the Seattle Dog with a brat, but it was barely warm, the cream cheese was replaced with a meager amount of something like a lime crema, and the onions were sparse.
The atmosphere was rated a 3.

Mixed Feelings: Good Drinks, Stale Pretzel
My recent experience at this restaurant was not as good as I remembered. While the beer was still good, my pretzel was unfortunately stale and the cheese seemed diluted. On a positive note, the tomato basil soup was really good.
Overall, it remains a solid place for a drink or two.

Amazing Staff, Fresh Food, Great Beer!
My experience at this restaurant was overwhelmingly positive. The staff were amazing and incredibly accommodating, especially considering I have a broken foot. They were super friendly, and the close-knit group of coworkers seemed genuinely to enjoy their jobs.
The beer selection was impressive, featuring a great variety of imports. Furthermore, the food was exceptionally fresh and tasty.

Great Beer Pub with Room for Improvement
My experience at this beer pub near Roosevelt station was largely positive. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the availability of big tables made it ideal for larger groups. It's also dog friendly, which is a great bonus.
However, I do wish they offered more vegan food options.
