Disappointing Pizza, High Price
My experience was disappointing. The dough was unfortunately underfermented and underproofed, which resulted in a lack of flavor and a thick, doughy texture. While the pizza had a good char from the wood-fired oven, and the tomato sauce and cheese were decent, the overall quality and craftsmanship did not justify the price.
It was probably the most expensive pizza I have ever had anywhere in the world. Additionally, as an international traveler, the tipping system in the USA is very confusing, with continuously varying suggested percentages based on taxes and fees included in the bill.

Inconsistent Pizza Experience
My experience at this restaurant has been mixed. I've visited twice, and both times I ordered the Margherita pizza. The first time, the pizza was amazing.
However, on my second visit, the pizza was very dough-y. Despite having a reservation for my second visit, I still had to wait 15 minutes. While I would still consider coming back, I'm unsure why my two experiences were so different.

Disappointing Pizza Experience
My experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. The customer service was poor, and the pizza was horrible. It was absolutely overloaded with tomato sauce and had hardly any cheese.
I ended up leaving half of the pizza because it was so bad.

Good Ambiance, Poor Pizza
My experience ordering a sausage pizza for takeout was disappointing. While the flavors were good, the pizza was so soaked in water that I needed multiple napkins to make it edible. This significantly destroyed the crust and the overall experience.
On a positive note, the ambiance inside the restaurant is really great. However, based on this experience, this isn't the place to go for good pizza.

Good Pizza, Patio Recommended
My experience at the restaurant was positive overall. The pizzas were very good. While the fries were good, they were nothing special.
We were fortunate to get a table on the back patio, which I'm glad we did as it would have been too loud inside. The service was excellent, rated 5/5, and the food quality was also rated 5/5. The atmosphere received a rating of 4.

Best Pizza Ever!
As an Italian, I never expected to say this, but this is the best pizza I’ve ever had in my whole life. I will never forget my feelings while eating it. The food received a perfect score of 5, indicating exceptional quality.
The service was also rated a perfect 5, suggesting a highly attentive and efficient experience. The atmosphere also scored a 5, which is surprising given the noise level. While the noise level was described as very loud, making it hard to hear, the overall experience was clearly dominated by the outstanding food and service.

Huge disappointment at Del Popolo
We were really excited to try Del Popolo, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The restaurant was full, so we decided to order to-go. Unfortunately, it was the worst pizza I’ve ever had.
The dough was extremely sour, and the sauce was so salty it overpowered everything. I rarely write bad reviews and usually enjoy almost any pizza, but this was a complete miss. Sadly, it felt like a total waste of money.

Overpriced and Average Pizza
My experience at this restaurant was that the pizza was too expensive and only average. I believe there are better places where you can find better pizza for less.

Quick Dinner Delight!
I came in for a quick dinner before seeing a show, and the service was super quick and friendly. The charred beans were delicious, and the potato pizza was a great mix of flavors. The food came out quickly, and the back patio was so nice!
It had a great atmosphere.

Solid Pizza and Wine Spot
My experience at Del Popolo was a pleasant one, especially for a wine bar near the SF Masonic. I visited on a Thursday around 5: 30 p. M.
With a friend, and I highly recommend making reservations as the place fills up quickly, even on weeknights. We were fortunate to snag a table on their garden patio due to the beautiful weather. For starters, we ordered the meatballs and shishito peppers, followed by a shared corn pizza.
My friend enjoyed a glass of Vouvray Chenin Blanc, while I explored their non-alcoholic options, trying an NA Negroni and an NA Riesling. The wines, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, were top-tier, with the NA Riesling being a particular highlight that paired perfectly with the pizza. However, the NA Negroni, while visually appealing, was too sweet and lacked flavor for my preference, so I'd likely skip it next time.
The meatballs were surprisingly amazing, boasting a rich, savory flavor that made them a definite repeat order. The pizza crust had a satisfying chewy char, but the combination of jalapeno and corn on the pizza was a bit uninspired. The corn's sweetness felt flat, almost as if it were added after baking.
Perhaps charring the corn beforehand could enhance its flavor. Overall, Del Popolo is a solid dinner spot if you're already in the neighborhood. I'd suggest enjoying their excellent wine selection and those fantastic meatballs.
While I wouldn't go out of my way for a visit, it's a reliable choice for a meal in the area.
