Mixed Experience with Some Hits and Misses
My experience at the restaurant was a mix of good and bad. We ordered several dishes: chili chicken, madras filter coffee, Navratan korma, Andhra chicken curry, tandoori roti, and a chiku milkshake. The chili chicken and Andhra chicken curry were good.
However, the madras filter coffee was stale and not even hot. The Navratan korma was excessively spicy, and the curry base for the Andhra chicken curry felt the same. The tandoori roti was overcooked, with a texture like a crispy cookie.
We faced a significant wait, almost an hour for our food, and the service was super slow, likely due to fulfilling online orders. I'm giving two stars primarily for the chili chicken.

Cozy Indian Spices, Delicious Food
We visited in the evening after dancing and had a very nice, cozy experience. The hot food was incredibly fresh, and the dessert was especially delicious – not cloying like supermarket options with sugar substitutes, but real and cold. If you desire silence and the authentic smell of Indian spices, without pretentiousness or excessive prices, this is the place.
We paid only $38, which immediately brought to mind the Goa region.

Authentic Hyderabadi Biryani Experience
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! We enjoyed Delicious Authentic Hyderabadi biryani, which made us feel like we were actually in Hyderabad. The staff was very friendly.
I definitely recommend this place for a family outing to enjoy their delicious Hyderabadi dishes.

Disappointing Biryani, Overpriced
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing, particularly regarding the food. I ordered the Hyderabad biryani, which was priced at over $20 and was surprisingly bland in taste. The egg and onions accompanying the dish were of poor quality, described as worse than what you'd find at a Safeway deli.
Even other diners from Hyderabad agreed with my assessment of the food. While the atmosphere was excellent (rated 5/5), the food quality (rated 2/5) and overall value were significantly lacking.

Delicious Takeout with Friendly Service
I ordered takeout from Deccan House on a Tuesday evening and was very pleased! The food was fresh and ready at the appointed time. The keema dosa was nice and spicy and the portion was big enough to enjoy again for lunch the next day.
The samosas were crisp and tasty, accompanied by fresh chutneys. I’d gladly return to try more of their dishes. The interior is simple with cozy booths for dining in.
Service was very friendly.

Amazing affordable Indian food in SF!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I found the food to be delicious, with the chicken tikka masala being particularly amazing. It's the best affordable Indian food I've tried in San Francisco.
The recommended dish was Butter Chicken.

Disappointing Biryani and Missed Offer
My experience at the restaurant was disappointing. I ordered the chicken dum biryani, and there was a special offer for a free item, but I did not receive it. The biryani itself was tasteless and excessively spicy.

Server on phone, poor attention
My experience at the restaurant was marred by the server's inattentiveness. The server in the evening was continuously on his phone, talking loudly and not paying any attention to people around him.

Poor Service, Bad Soup
My experience at this restaurant was marked by poor customer service. I ordered the chicken soup, which unfortunately tasted bad. When I brought this to their attention, they argued with me and still added it to my bill, even though I sent it back.

Best Keema Dosa, Slow Service
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The food was absolutely fantastic, with the best keema dosa I've had in town, and the chutneys were equally delicious. However, the service was really slow.
This was particularly noticeable as the place was empty at 6 pm on a Sunday, which made the slow service even more apparent.
