Greasy, Soggy Bacon Disappointment
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. I ordered the eggs any style, but the bacon was all grease and soggy. It's a shame because I used to love this place, but it's no longer worth the money.

Delightful Crepes and Great Service!
My experience at Crepes on Cole was delightful. The restaurant is nestled in the Cole Valley community of San Francisco and offers great service and great food. I particularly enjoyed their salmon sandwich with yummy thin and crispy fries.
The crepes themselves are delicious, with my favorite being the Nutella crepe. The portions are generous and tasty! The staff are great, with Stone being a personal favorite, and I always feel welcomed with a smile from the servers.
The building is well-lit and ventilated thanks to the numerous windows, making it a pleasant place to sit and read while enjoying lunch. While parking can be tricky, the visit is definitely worth it. Highly recommend!

Expensive Diner Experience
My experience at this restaurant was mixed. The place itself is nice and the staff were friendly. However, the cost was surprisingly high.
I ordered French toast, two eggs over easy, sausage, and coffee, which totaled $46 with tip. While I understand the eggs and sausage were sides, the base price for what was essentially four half pieces of French toast felt excessive. The food was acceptable, but not exceptional for the price point.
The pricing felt incongruent with the casual, neighborhood diner atmosphere. Additionally, the self-service aspect of paying upfront and getting your own water further detracted from the value proposition.

Delightful Brunch with Balanced Flavors
I had a delightful brunch yesterday. Everything was great, and I especially loved the balance of flavors. The roasted potatoes, tangy vinaigrette greens, and the savory eggs Benedict crepe were all fantastic.
I will definitely return in the future while visiting San Francisco.

Good Food, Poor Service Experience
I visited this café for the first time today, and unfortunately the service left a poor impression — despite the food being quite good. When I walked in, the woman working behind the counter was sitting at one of the guest tables, eating. It felt like I was interrupting her break, even though the café was open.
She looked visibly annoyed to see me, and when she brought out my order, she shoved the plate toward me and dropped the utensils without a word. When I said “thank you, ” she just responded with a flat “mm-hmm. ” She was also wearing long, loose hair — not tied back — which isn’t appropriate for someone handling food in a professional setting.
As someone who works in hospitality myself, I know people can have off days — but guests should never feel like they’re intruding. Basic courtesy goes a long way, especially for first-time visitors. The attitude really overshadowed an otherwise promising place.

Good Food, Terrible Service
I heard good things about this place, but the customer service was abysmal and off-putting. While known for their crepes, they also have plenty of other yummy options, including burgers, sandwiches, and salads – a huge plus for differing cravings and appetites. However, they really need to work on their customer service skills.
It’s an “order, get a number, pick a table” kind of place, which is fine, but the workers there don’t even seem like they want to take your order and serve you. They’re very curt and dismissive: no greeting whatsoever and they gesture with their chin to the stack of cups if you ask for water – like, hello? Rude much.
I’ve worked customer service jobs, so I get that customers can be a pain, but if you can’t do the bare minimum of greeting a customer and taking their order without making them feel like a bother, then don’t work at a restaurant.

Great Food, Poor Table Bussing
My experience at this restaurant was mixed. While the location and food were great, the bussing system was very poor. We arrived during a long line and needed a table for two people with mobility issues.
Despite the restaurant not being full, every table was covered in dirty dishes, making it seem unavailable. We ended up having to bus dishes ourselves to sit down. To make matters worse, the cup I was given contained broken glass.
Despite these significant issues, the great food and great location led me to still give it 4 stars.

Great breakfast spot in SF!
As someone from Phoenix who loves San Francisco, I make it a point to come here for breakfast. The food is fantastic, and you "can't lose" with anything from "south of the border. " I absolutely "love it" and will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Excellent Garlic Fries!
My experience at the restaurant was surprisingly excellent, particularly with the garlic fries. They had a crispy outside texture and a soft fluffy interior. The garlic tasted fresh too.
