Great Food, Terrible Service
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The food was great, earning a perfect score. However, the service was terrible.
The waitresses were so rude, walking away in the middle of me ordering without saying a word and ignoring me when I asked to place a to-go order. The atmosphere was decent.

Amazing Lasagna, Wish Veggies Were Cooked More
My experience at the restaurant was largely positive, especially with the lasagna, which was amazing! I appreciated that they served bread, a nice touch not found everywhere. However, I wished the veggies were a bit more cooked or grilled.
The sauce was super tasty, and the overall food quality was rated a 4. The atmosphere was also a highlight, rated a 5, and the service received a perfect 5. The noise level was moderate.

Good Portions, Lacking Special Taste
My experience at the restaurant was decent. The food tasted ok, and I appreciated the good sized portions from the Italian menu. However, I found that it was less of the special taste I was expecting.

A Timeless San Francisco Dining Experience
My experience at this old-style restaurant was like stepping back in time to 1950s San Francisco. The professionals tending to the guests provided excellent service. The food was simple, hearty, and delicious.
Soft music played in the background, contributing to a wonderfully quiet atmosphere where conversation was easy. It was a great meal overall.

Solid Italian with a Sweet Finish
My experience at this Italian restaurant in San Francisco was positive. We visited for lunch and enjoyed the meat lasagna and Tuscan chicken. The Tiramisu for dessert tasted homemade, which was a definite plus.
I was surprised that no side salad was served with the meal, but otherwise, it hit the spot. I hope the dinner portions are a bit larger or that a salad is offered with entrees.

Underrated Gem with a Hidden Fee
My experience at Cesario's has been consistently positive over multiple visits, with their Frutti Di Mare being a standout dish. I find the restaurant to be underrated and not overly crowded, which is a pleasant surprise given its convenient location just a few minutes' walk from Union Square. However, I discovered a significant detail on a recent visit with a party of three: a 22% service fee is applied to parties larger than two people, in addition to a normal tip.
This was an unexpected charge that impacted the overall bill.

High Hopes, Disappointing Meal
I had high expectations walking into Cesario, especially after seeing the place packed on two consecutive nights. Upon arriving at 5: 30 PM, the restaurant was already full. The host estimated a 10-minute wait, and due to the restaurant's small size, I waited in the adjacent hotel lobby.
Unfortunately, the meal was a letdown from the start. The garlic bread was merely toasted baguette slices with diner butter packets, not what I'd consider authentic garlic bread. For my entrée, I ordered the special: New York sirloin with fettuccine in tomato parm sauce.
What arrived was significantly different: chopped steak pieces cooked far beyond well-done, making them tough and chewy, served in a heavy Alfredo cream sauce. It was inedible. The only redeeming moment was dessert; the lemon cake, though simple, at least ensured I didn't leave hungry, as I barely touched the main course.
Overall, it was a terribly sad experience. I had assumed the food must be great given how busy they always looked, but for me, the reality was the opposite.

Cozy Italian Gem with Perfect Pomodoro
My experience at this really nice, cozy Italian restaurant was great! The service was very good, and the food was fantastic. If you're tired of pasta overloaded with garlic, this is the place to go.
The pomodoro sauce was perfect. I'll definitely be coming back.
