Sweetest people, solid food!
My experience at this restaurant was wonderful. The vibe was great, and the food was solid. I particularly enjoyed the matcha, though I didn't get a picture before I finished it!
It's a fantastic stop for anyone needing a break for tired legs and looking for healthy eats. The people running the place are the sweetest.

Bland Sando, Nice Atmosphere
I really wanted to like this place, but the egg sando was very bland. I've had much better at 7-Eleven in Japan 😎. However, the atmosphere is pretty nice.

Elegant Cafe with Mixed Food Experience
My experience at this cafe, tucked away in an office building, was like stepping into a serene world away from the city's hustle. The atmosphere felt very elegant and historic, complemented by calm outdoor seating shaded by the building. I tried the egg sando, which was light and airy, but the bread was unfortunately quite dry, suggesting it might have been kept in the fridge for too long.
I also ordered a matcha latte, and it turned out to be bitter and grassy, similar to other matcha I've had. I'm unsure if they offer iced drinks as I didn't specify. Despite these points, the other food offerings looked great.
It's a good place for catching up or doing some offline work.

A Culinary Gem in Jackson Square
🧡Nestled in a charming courtyard café in Jackson Square, Cassava SF truly captures the art of seasonally driven flavors and thoughtful presentation. 🧡I began with a comforting chai made with oat milk, a perfect lactose-free option, while my partner enjoyed a freshly brewed latte. 🧡The Herb Cream Cheese + Smoked Salmon was a delightful start, served on crisp bread with luxuriously creamy cheese and rich, balanced smoked salmon.
🧡Next, a side from the Poached Scottish King Salmon Bento featured simmered hijiki seaweed with carrots and edamame. The seaweed had a tender, melt-in-your-mouth texture, complemented by the satisfying crunch of the carrots and edamame. 🧡The Chicken Minestrone was a hearty, gluten-free, dairy-free soup with house-made chicken sausage, celery root, broccolini, white beans, and chickpeas – light yet deeply flavorful.
🧡The main event, the Poached Scottish King Salmon, was perfectly cooked with the skin on, offering a buttery texture and a slightly crispy, nutrient-rich bite. The accompanying asparagus was cooked to perfection, providing a fresh, vibrant contrast. 🧡A standout was the Po’-Tama Onigirazu, a unique seaweed-wrapped sandwich filled with house-made spam, tamagoyaki, cabbage, bean sprouts, and red leaf lettuce.
It was a satisfying, well-balanced bite, with each ingredient contributing its own texture and flavor. 🧡To finish, the Egg Salad with Wild Planet albacore, market lettuce, cucumber, and creamy kewpie dressing offered a refreshing contrast to the rich egg and tuna blend. 🧡Cassava SF is a place where every bite feels like a carefully crafted experience, and the warm hospitality lingers long after you’ve left.
🧡If you’re seeking a world of flavor, elegance, and indulgence, Cassava SF is a must-visit. @induglewithenaa

Hidden Gem with Delicious Japanese Food
My experience at this restaurant was wonderful. It's a true hidden gem in the heart of the Jackson Square area, offering delicious Japanese inspired food. The owner is very friendly, and the seating is comfortable.
They previously had a restaurant in North Beach and have now moved to this location. I highly recommend you try and support them!

Charming Spot with Fresh Food
I stumbled upon this charming little place as I was leaving immigration court. The food was excellent, though I found it a little salty for my taste. The staff mentioned they typically under-salt, which wasn't my experience with the duck.
However, I'm more than happy to give them a second chance. I found the whole place very charming and the food very fresh.

Delicious Food in a Beautiful Setting
My experience at this little kiosk was fantastic! It's tucked away in a beautiful space, offering a truly enjoyable atmosphere. I particularly loved the Hayashi Rice and the Egg Salad Sando, both of which were super flavorful and reminded me of Japan.
I loved it!
