My experience at Californios was truly exquisite. They were able to accommodate gluten-free (Celiac) and dairy-free dietary needs. The ambiance, service, food, and drinks were all spectacular. We had such a fun and delicious time!

My experience at this restaurant was truly exceptional, offering one of the best meals I've ever had. It felt like being transported back to Mexico City for a fine dining experience, all without leaving San Francisco. The entire experience was absolutely amazing, from the luxe, modern entry and bar to the perfectly executed cocktails. Each of the 14 courses was delivered with impeccable attention. Every dish was delicate and beautiful, yet packed a memorable taste and texture that photos cannot capture.

My experience at this restaurant was a letdown, especially considering its Michelin rating. I would advise saving your money and finding another Michelin-rated establishment. The service was inconsistent, and while the food was decent, it was nothing extraordinary for the price of $850, including the service fee.

I had the best time with my friend at this restaurant. The food was amazing, and the staff, especially the young lady who served us, was super sweet and helpful. The whole vibe felt special but not stuffy. We are definitely coming back!

We had a limited time in the bay area and were deciding between several top restaurants. We are so glad we chose Californios, as we believe it offered a more memorable culinary experience than other options. As a lactose-free vegetarian and shellfish-free pescatarian, I was incredibly impressed with how well they accommodated my dietary needs. My husband, who eats everything, thoroughly enjoyed his meal as well. There wasn't a single dish that was a 'miss, ' which can sometimes happen with tasting menus. The only downside was the restaurant's location in the Mission; we definitely prefer it to be in another area 🤣. The vanilla extract they leave as a parting gift was a beautiful plus. It was truly difficult to choose our favorite courses, but the initial starter, the caviar-decked corn flan, and the tacos were definitely highlights. Many kudos to the chefs!

My experience at this restaurant was like stepping into a dank posh cloud of warmth & light. I initially stopped in for a drink before a goth show next door and was immediately impressed. My chair was pulled out for me at each seat, and I tasted the BEST n/a beer (a local Sausalito IPA) I've ever had. I also noticed their cucumber 🥒 essence water, which was ambient in refrigeration, and the nightly palo santo sage. To top it off, a single origin pour over coffee set me off in the best way for dancing. As I was leaving, they kindly allowed a distanced vape and even brought an ashtray, and turned on the heater as it became brisk outside. The bathrooms were a pampering experience, both gender-neutral ⚧️, featuring preserved beetles 🪲 and butterflies 🦋, and the rare luxury of a heated 🚽 seat and individually rolled towels. The staff, including Olivia, Ivan, Johnny, and another sweetheart, established greater-than-genuine connections, discussing careers, life, dank coffees (like Olivia's suggestion to spritz espresso w/tonic water 🤤), and our origins. This place made me feel more at home than anywhere except home itself, and I will definitely return to try the food, which looked so dank. Next time!

My experience at Californios for dinner on a weekday was the most fabulous I've had at a fine dining restaurant. We visited the bar while waiting for our table, and the staff took good care of us. The meal was divine, with freshness in every bite and flavors that were bursting. The courses were well-balanced and built up beautifully. The atmosphere was inviting and upbeat, perfect for all occasions, creating a fun environment. Even dessert, which I had to force myself to eat, was incredible, as every menu item was great. I would recommend Californios and will definitely be back, even without a special event.

My experience at this restaurant was truly wonderful. I had a beautiful meal with fantastic service and great music. The first bite, featuring beans and serrano cream in a soft corn shell, and the strawberry empanadas were some of the best bites I’ve ever had. The wine pairing was good, though it left something to be desired, but the sommelier was excellent. I highly recommend this place for a special celebration.

My experience at this restaurant was the best meal and food and dining experience I have had in my 6 decades of life. The wonderful staff contributed to a relaxed beautiful vibe. It’s a three-hour experience that left me feeling so happy for days afterwards. The stunning taste and presentation and hospitality were truly memorable and world-class.
