Delicious French Brunch Experience
My experience at this restaurant for Saturday brunch before a family wedding was absolutely wonderful! I loved it. The food was delicious, and we particularly enjoyed the deviled eggs, French onion soup, and beef bourguignon, all of which were beautifully made and full of flavor. The atmosphere felt cozy and authentically French, and the service was great.

Pleasant Spot for Eggs Benedict
I visited this pleasant spot right when it opened to try their Eggs Benedict. It was a very good dish. The atmosphere and service were both rated a perfect 5 out of 5.

A Perfect All-in-One Spot
My experience was fantastic! The restaurant has a very cool vibe with a retro French style. It perfectly blends the feel of a bar, restaurant, coffee shop, and library, making it an ideal spot for a Sunday Funday.

A Classic French Spot Worth Returning To
It’s been years since I was here last, having moved to Europe. But man… CDLP will always be a spot I come back to over and over again. The place needs support after COVID, and I wish next time I'm here – I wish to see it as lively, busy, and bursting with energy as in the old days 🩵. I mean, you hear me, yeah? It’s a classic, and if you want proper French food, CDLP is the place. The menu includes French onion soup, Steak tartare, Steak, Braised chicken, Ahi tuna, Boeuf Bourguignon, Baguette, Croissants, Wines, Attitude, Brunch, and Cocktails.

Okay French Bistro Experience
My experience at this restaurant was just okay. While the name suggests a French theme, the food offered was typical of many San Franciscan bistros, lacking any distinctively French elements. Regarding the practicalities: * Atmosphere: Rated 3 out of 5. It was quiet, making conversation easy. * Service: Rated 4 out of 5. * Food: Rated 3 out of 5. * Parking: Described as somewhat difficult to find parking, with a paid parking garage available. * Reservations: Not required. * Price: $20–30 per person. * Vegetarian Options: Somewhat recommended, but the reviewer was unsure about the specific offerings. * Kid-friendliness: Yes. * Meal Type: Brunch.

Disappointing Brunch, Except for the Soup
My experience at this restaurant was largely disappointing, especially considering the prices. The food was bland and overcooked. I had the crabcake Benedict, and the hollandaise sauce was slightly sour with minimal flavor and very little of it. The crabcake itself was mushy and thin. My husband's burger was described as the plainest, driest burger ever, and it came with only ketchup unless we paid an extra $3 for cheese. He also found it dry. For the prices charged, we felt we could have gone elsewhere, as the food tasted worse than diner food. The only positive note was the French onion soup, which was good. The service was very mediocre, and the manager also seemed mediocre, repeatedly seating people in crowded areas despite many open tables.

Disappointing Decline from a Once Decent Spot
My experience at this restaurant was marked by impatient service and mediocre quality food. It seems they are relying solely on their location to attract customers. It was rather disappointing, especially considering it was once a decent spot.

Ignored for 10 minutes, then left
We sat outside for 10 minutes, and the esteemed waiter walked past us four times. Four times! No greeting – nothing! We then left and spent our money elsewhere.

Charming Parisian Ambiance with a Coffee Caveat
My experience at Café de la Presse was largely positive, earning it a solid 4 stars. The restaurant boasts a charming Parisian ambiance that creates an effortlessly chic vibe, perfect for people-watching over brunch or enjoying a solo croissant. The service was attentive, contributing to a near-perfect experience. The food, particularly the French classics, was beautifully executed. The duck confit was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the tarte Provençale was a quiet triumph of flavor and texture. The wine list was well-curated and reasonably priced, enhancing the overall value. However, there was one misstep: the coffee fell flat, being more bitter than bold and not up to the standard of the rest of the offerings.
