Favorite Italian Spot in SF!
We found this place accidentally and have been delighted every time we've come here. It is our favorite Italian spot in San Francisco. Most recently I ate the Veal bone marrow, Lobster Ravioli, and Gnocchi Gorgonzola. The pasta dishes were richly creamy, flavourful, and amazing. The sangiovese we ordered was smooth. The complimentary bread and dip is great too. Servers are courteous and attentive. Overall a great time.

Phenomenal Italian Cuisine and Great Experience
My experience at this restaurant was absolutely WOW. I had phenomenal and authentic Italian cuisine. The food was very good, featuring high quality ingredients and generous portions. You definitely get what you pay for, indicating good value for money. The service was very good quality, with staff keeping the table clean. While the service was a bit slower, it was noted as normal for European culture and not problematic. This pace allowed for enjoyable company and conversation. I will absolutely be bringing people here in the future.

Authentic Italian with Great Service
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. While the menu was initially a bit overwhelming, we both found dishes we enjoyed. The quality and quantity of the food were perfect, and we even received complimentary treats. It offered a more authentic Italian feel rather than typical Italian-American. The atmosphere was quiet during our afternoon visit, which was exactly what we needed. They also have lots of gluten-free options, and the pasta was very well made.

Accommodating Staff & Delicious Dishes
My experience at this restaurant with a work group was fantastic. The staff was wildly accommodating of our large group and allowed for a long, relaxed meal. The bar area didn't reflect the high quality of the dishes and the attentive, gracious service. I particularly enjoyed the incredible artichoke dish and the Matriciana. Unfortunately, I ate too much to try the affogato, so I'll need to return with my handsome lover for dinner and dessert.

Delicious Food, Pleasant Service, Cozy Atmosphere
My experience at the cafe was delightful. I enjoyed a meal that included pasta with chicken and mushrooms, pizza diavola, and fried trout. The trout was cooked perfectly. The service was both polite and pleasant. The cafe itself was clean, quiet, and cozy, making for a very comfortable dining experience.

Delicious Pasta and Welcoming Atmosphere
Our group of 6 adults and 1 toddler had a wonderful experience at Bella Trattoria. The restaurant was very accommodating, with a table and high chair already set up for us. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, attracting an eclectic mix of customers, from couples on date night to young families. I appreciated that they welcomed families with babies, making everyone feel comfortable. The food was very good. We shared a vegetarian minestrone served in pots, accompanied by fresh bread. Our entrees included a creamy cheese ravioli with added veggies, pesto, arrabbiata spaghetti (a hit with the baby!), and a tasty fettuccini with an egg sauce. All pastas were cooked to a perfect al dente. For dessert, we enjoyed a standout tiramisu, a panna cotta with berry compote (a favorite for both our cousin and the toddler), and a homemade rum cake (baba Neapolitan) that the others loved. We dug into our desserts so fast, we didn't even get a picture!

Good Vibes, Average Food
I absolutely loooove the seats outside, it's super vibey! The food was good, just good, nothing special. I had the lobster ravioli (rated 7/10) and the suppli napoletana (rated 8/10). The service was a bit slow, but the people were kind and respectful. I've just had better!

Cozy Roman Trattoria Experience
As someone passing through town, I couldn’t resist trying this spot. The staff greeted me with genuine warmth and never made me feel odd for dining alone. The Margherita pizza was perfectly balanced, with a crust that tasted wood-fired. The cozy Italian décor, complete with murals and family photos, made me feel like I had stepped into a trattoria in Rome.

Slow Service for To-Go Order
My experience at the restaurant was marked by significant delays. I arrived around 5: 10 PM and had to wait about 10 minutes for the bartender to finish speaking with another customer before I could even get attention. Another dine-in customer was also waiting. We shared a menu. After placing my to-go order, I waited an additional 30 minutes. The order was incorrect, requiring another 10-minute wait for the correction. In total, my to-go order took about an hour, despite there only being about seven customers in the place. It was very slow.
