Chef Dominique Crenn's Awesome Experience
Duh! Who wouldn’t want to eat and drink under the auspices of the legend, Chef Dominique Crenn? This place is awesome.
The food is excellent and the menu changes quite often. The staff is so welcoming and just downright nice and sincere. The vibe is completely cool.
Best to grab a reservation rather than be disappointed at the door as a walk in. Twist my arm time to go there any day of the week. Le Comptoir?
Yeah, it’s a bucket list item for sure. Snag a seat if you can for a special meal at the bar.

World-Class Cocktails and Bites!
My experience at this bar was 100% the best in San Francisco and beyond. The cocktails and bites were world-class, with gorgeous presentation and fabulous taste. The service was excellent, and the unique gastronomical delights for both cocktails and food were truly impressive.
I highly recommend indulging in their elevated take on an espresso martini, the "Gospel, " or the "Petal" cocktail when it's on the menu. These are truly some of the best cocktails you will find anywhere.

Amazing Experience at Bar Crenn!
My experience at Bar Crenn was always amazing. The exquisite cocktails and delicious bites were highlights. I also appreciated the beautiful thin glassware and the awesome music.
The great service, especially from Adam, made the evening memorable. It was worth traveling from LA for this experience.

Elevated Drinks and Delicious Desserts
My experience at Bar Crenn was fantastic! The drinks here are truly elevated and crafted so well. I visited on a Friday night before 9 pm, and the bar was starting to fill up.
They offer two small tables for standing room if you don't have a reservation, especially when they're booked. There's a minimum spend requirement when reserving. Although not pictured, the Bergamo cocktail was one of my favorites, and the fresh orange juice was incredibly refreshing.
For dessert lovers, I highly recommend the Chocolate flower; its texture and flavors are really nice. Overall, it was a great experience.

Amazing Experience, Wish I Lived Closer!
My experience at this restaurant was absolutely amazing. The food was incredible, and the chef clearly put a lot of passion into their work. The bar offered a fantastic selection, and the overall ambiance was wonderful.
The entire team was exceptional, contributing to a truly memorable dining experience. I'm so disappointed that I live so far away in Paris and cannot return soon!

Elegant Bar with Creative Cocktails
After a delicious early dinner at Anchovy Bar, I decided to try and get a seat at Bar Crenn. The opaque black windows and unmarked facade gave it an anonymous feel, similar to its famous next-door neighbor, Atelier Crenn. Upon entering, I was impressed by the fantastic remodeled interior and curved wooden backbar.
The hostess seated me towards the end of the bar, with comfortable armchairs and corners available near the front window for couples and groups. Marcos, the bartender, was friendly and knowledgeable. We chatted about cocktail bars and Bar Crenn's program, innovated by Director of Mixology Florian Thireau.
When I mentioned a carbonated Margarita I'd had elsewhere, Marcos recommended the Mizuwari, a Japanese Highball interpretation with elderflower, peach, olive oil, lemon, and Toki whisky. It was a sublimely blended drink with a floral fruit essence reminiscent of champagne. Marcos explained the ingredients were clarified to blend seamlessly with carbonation.
It was an enjoyable and light drink. Still keen on an appetizer, I ordered the house-made pretzel with a side of mustard. The pretzel was extremely hot, requiring a short wait before I could enjoy it.
A light cheese fondue was served alongside the mustard, which was tasty and baked with quality, comparable to the offerings next door. For my second and final drink, I ordered their signature, the Gospel, an espresso martini with salted coffee, orange, ginger, picon, and St. George vodka. It offered a burst of flavor, with ginger and orange notes complementing the coffee and spirit.
This was a creative approach to elevating an espresso martini. Everything about Bar Crenn exudes class, yet it remains approachable and somewhat casual, unlike Clemente Bar in NYC. The drinks were superb, making it seem like a perfect spot for a date.
I look forward to returning to explore more of the cocktail menu.

Disappointing Experience with Loud Music and Uncomfortable Seating
My experience at this restaurant was largely disappointing. I came primarily for cocktails, but the uncomfortable seats, some of which were merely foot stools, detracted significantly from the visit. The music was way too loud and did not complement the space or theme.
While the drinks were good, they were nothing special. The service was not particularly attentive. Overall, it felt like mostly fluff and little substance, making it not worth a return visit.

Strong Drinks, Cozy Atmosphere
My experience at this restaurant was positive, with a few key highlights. I'd recommend making a reservation as the place is small and walk-ins may need to wait a while. The drinks were pretty strong and well made.
The atmosphere was rated a 5 out of 5, indicating a very enjoyable ambiance.

Exceptional Drinks and Elevated Vibe
The Knenn has quickly become my favorite bar in San Francisco. My experience was exceptional, particularly with their small plates, which were absolutely delicious and made with the freshest ingredients. The espresso martini is my go-to cocktail, and I've never truly enjoyed one anywhere else in SF until now; here, it's crafted to perfection.
I also appreciate the details, like the high-end, ultra-thin glassware with elegant stems, a sign of real quality. The atmosphere is refined yet relaxed, never too loud, and attracts a cultured, respectful crowd. It's a perfect spot for a night out when you want exceptional drinks, great food, and an elevated vibe.

Exceptional Birthday Celebration at Bar Crenn
My experience at Bar Crenn was truly an elevated and intimate experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, warm, and welcoming, setting the tone for an exceptional celebration of a friend's birthday evening. The mezcal cocktails were delightful to the senses, balanced, aromatic, and thoughtfully composed.
The truffled egg was nothing short of a gastronomic exploration, rich and refined, while the Harbison gougères were so light and splendid, they nearly floated off the plate. Each element felt curated with care, creativity, and intention. A remarkable experience from start to finish.
