A Local Gem with Amazing Flavor
This is truly a hidden gem and a very local spot. The food has great flavor, and the owner is fantastic. I highly recommend checking this place out.
Parking can be a bit tough due to neighboring businesses, but it's definitely worth the slight inconvenience.

Excellent Banh Mi, Great Value!
This is a cash only spot, but it absolutely deserves a review! I had a very good experience at this banh mi place, and I can confidently say it will not disappoint. The place was run by a very nice little old man.
The prices are very good compared to other banh mi places. I ordered three banh mi: Xi Ma, Dac Biet (1), and grilled pork (8). I was so impressed with the Xi Ma that I forgot to take a picture of it – it was my favorite!
The portions were very big, and they gave a lot of spread without even being asked. Overall, it was worth it.

Decent Sandwich, Major Hygiene Concerns
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. On the positive side, the sandwich itself was decent. However, my biggest concern is the hygiene practices.
The gentleman making my sandwich was also handling cash without removing his gloves, meaning the same hands that touched money were used to prepare the food. While I've eaten in many foreign countries and am willing to take risks, this practice still grosses me out. The parking situation is typical for San Diego, with small and limited spots.
The temperature inside the shop was hot, and there was junk all over the front of the store, including lawn equipment, boxes, and light fixtures. This lack of cleanliness at the storefront made me nervous about the food storage in the back. I hope the food is well refrigerated.
Overall, the sandwich was good, but there's a risk of food poisoning due to the handling and temperature. The old gentleman running the place is doing a great job, but he could use help with technology and cleanliness. It's also cash only, which makes me wary about income reporting.
I wouldn't go back.

Amazing BBQ Pork Sandwiches!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic, especially with their sandwiches. I used to get them all the time in San Diego. The bbq pork is absolutely amazing, and the combination of flavors is incredibly tasty.
The food and service both received a perfect score of 5.

Authentic Roast Pork Banh Mi Delight!
My experience at this restaurant was absolutely delicious! I tried the roast pork baguette, and it was incredibly flavorful and authentic, just like traditional Vietnamese bánh mì. The bread was toasted fresh on the spot, filling the air with a wonderful aroma.
The roast pork itself was crispy and flavorful. It's truly a must-try for anyone who loves genuine Vietnamese bánh mì!

Killer Bahn Mi in a Hole-in-the-Wall
My experience at this restaurant was that of a hole in the wall place in San Diego. It's the kind of spot that surprises you with a killer bahn mi. I definitely recommend it as it's cheap but very tasty, offering traditional bahn mi.

Legit Banh Mi, Worth a Return Trip
My experience at this restaurant was positive. I found it to be a legit banh mi place and the prices were reasonably priced. While the Bay Area still holds the title for the best banh mi in my opinion, I would be back when I am in SD.

Tasty Sandwich, Unpleasant Atmosphere
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. I discovered this place through a Facebook post and decided to give it a try. While the atmosphere inside wasn't very pleasant, describing it as a "hole in the wall, " the #1 sandwich I ordered was pretty tasty 😋.
I would definitely order from this place again, primarily for the food.

Excellent Banh Mi in California
My experience at the restaurant was fantastic. I tried the dac biet, which I believe is the #1 combo sandwich. It was one of the better banh mis I’ve had in California.
The sandwiches are about 9 bucks, but they easily fill you up or can be shared. I will definitely go back.

Best Banh Mi in San Diego!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic, especially regarding the food. I believe they serve the best banh mi in San Diego. The cold cut was made in house and was very tasty.
The bread had a perfect texture: crispy outside and fluffy inside. The pate and mayonnaise were also exceptionally well-made, significantly enhancing the overall taste. I highly recommend this location.
