Fun Drink, Hidden Fee
Getting an iced PSL in a pumpkin was a fun experience. However, Avotoasty was not transparent about their 3% credit card surcharge, and I wasn’t aware of this fee until I saw it on my emailed receipt. I thought it was required in California to be transparent about mandatory fees.

Exceptional Matcha and Great Experience
It’s super rare to find a truly good ceremonial grade matcha, so I’m really glad that I found this place during my trip to SF because this is one of the best matchas I’ve ever had! 🍵 The toasts were fresh and pretty filling, as well as the protein smoothie had a great texture and taste. Good atmosphere overall, I always appreciate a screen for orders so I could take my time and customize everything. The service was really fast.

Creative Sourdough with a Beet Latte Hiccup
This is such a great little spot! I love how many of the sandwiches are made with classic San Francisco sourdough and plenty of avocado. They offer tons of fun, creative options you don’t see everywhere. I tried the beet latte (or beet cappuccino, whatever it was)… and I just couldn’t do it. Maybe it was the almond milk, but the taste was hard to get through. I’ll stick with matcha tea next time—and the food, of course, which was fresh and delicious. Definitely worth a visit!

Delicious Breakfast in San Francisco
We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast at this small, fine establishment in San Francisco over four days. We tried various toasts and were consistently and pleasantly surprised by both the taste and presentation. Everything, from the toast to the coffee and orange juice, was freshly prepared and delicious. The entire team was very friendly and helpful.

Disappointing Avocado Quality
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing, primarily due to the avocado quality. The avocado on my toast was not fresh and tasted similar to a refrigerated, slightly oxidized guacamole pouch. Given the restaurant's name, I expected freshness and quality to be a priority, especially considering the $14 price for a single toast. I would be unlikely to return because of this. On a positive note, the service was decently quick.

Delicious Avocado Toast & Warm Service
My experience at this restaurant was wonderful. I enjoyed the delicious and gram worthy avocado toasts. The staff was really nice and warm, and they always greeted me with a smile. Additionally, they have great vegetarian options, with a dedicated vegetarian menu or section. The atmosphere, service, and food were all rated a perfect 5 out of 5.

Charming Cafe with Delicious Smoothie
My recent visit to this cafe was a delightful experience. The ambiance was charming and cozy, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. The food presentation was beautiful, making everything look incredibly appetizing. I highly recommend trying the classic avocado smoothie; it was creamy and refreshing.

Cozy Cafe for Meetups
I came here for a 415 Coffee Club meetup, and it was a PACKED event. It's not as spacious as their location in FiDi, BUT it lets in a lot of natural light, which more than makes up for it. I really like how Avotoasty provided their café as a sober third space to meet new people.

Appalling Greens, Mediocre Bowl
I was appalled at the amount of wilted / bad greens that came out of my salad. The whole time I was eating the salad, I had to stare at it to pick out all the greens that had gone bad. I got the salmon bowl - not only was the quality and freshness of the greens very poor (in fact, the worst of any salad I’ve ever bought), but also all it was was a mix of greens, tomatoes, feta cheese, smoked salmon, and guacamole, which tasted just like the ones I buy at a grocery store (and not even one of the better ones I buy at a store). The bowl is simply a mixture of ingredients. I would strongly recommend you just buy the ingredients yourself and make it at home instead, or go to Sweetgreen.

Great Location, Good Coffee, Vegan Option
My experience at this restaurant was positive, despite the expensive price. I was specifically looking for a vegan pumpkin spice latte, and I was pleased that the vibe was just right. The coffee was good, and the location is excellent. The food was also rated highly.
