Ahadu - Reviews

Although I haven't visited this restaurant in over a year, my previous three experiences with their food were awesome. Having dined at many Ethiopian restaurants over the past 40 years, I consider their food to be my absolute favorite, tied with another place. I recently returned to Seattle and was eager to eat here again. Unfortunately, I mistakenly went to a different Ethiopian restaurant nearby, thinking it was this one. The food at that other place was mediocre at best. I won't be able to dine here again during this visit as they are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and Thursday is Christmas, with my departure early the following day. I urge Seattleites to continue patronizing this wonderful family and restaurant so I can enjoy their food on my next trip back!

My experience at this restaurant was truly incredible. The food, specifically the tibs and injera, was the best we've ever had. The staff was incredibly warm and exceptionally accommodating and friendly towards our baby. I highly recommend this place.

I was bummed to receive my Meat combo lunch order from DoorDash. The Kitfo meat was raw/undercooked, even though I had asked for well done. Unfortunately, I was unable to eat my meal.

My experience at this restaurant was concerning due to hygiene issues. I was reminded that the staff do not wear hair nets, and unfortunately, I found hair in my food 🤢. The food quality received a very low rating (1/5), while service and atmosphere were rated moderately (3/5).

My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I was incredibly impressed with the food quality, which was truly the best Ethiopian food we’ve had. The prices were also very low, making it an excellent value. The service was awesome, and we experienced no wait time. The vegetarian offerings were clearly labeled and highly recommended for vegetarians. The atmosphere was rated a 5 out of 5.

My experience at Ahadu has been consistently excellent, making it my go-to spot, as I find myself there at least twice a week! If you're a fan of raw meat like I am, this place is a must-try. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. While waiting for your order, be sure to ask Sammy for his signature espresso shot—it’s a hidden gem. The prices are fair for the generous portions you get. Highly recommend Ahadu to anyone looking for great food and a chill atmosphere!

My experience at Ahadu was a delightful surprise. I came to the area for a different restaurant, but when plans fell through, I decided to try Ahadu. I went in with no expectations and was completely floored by how good everything tasted. The staff were incredibly nice, patiently explaining the dishes, spices, and how to eat everything. They offer a huge sampler platter that easily feeds two people, and I guarantee you will find something you like on it – for me, it was everything! I highly recommend stopping in and trying Ahadu.

The injera was incredibly fresh and perfectly spongy, with just the right tang. The spices were rich and aromatic, and the portions were generous. You can truly taste the love and authenticity in every bite. The service and atmosphere were also excellent, both rated 5/5.
