My experience at Sukho Thai was disappointing due to an unexpected service charge. The skinny waitress charged an extra $18 for services, which she explained was because our party included 4 adults and one 4-year-old girl. I checked Google and Sukho Thai's policy states that service charges are only applied for parties of 6 or more adults. As a regular customer who regularly visits with family, I will not be returning to this location.

My experience at this restaurant was excellent for both dine-in and to-go orders. The service was really friendly. I particularly enjoyed the tamarind crispy chicken, crispy rolls, yellow curry, and pad see iw.

My experience at Sukho Thai has been consistently safe and delicious, largely due to the extraordinary care and attention from Becky and the entire team. As someone with a long list of allergies, I can't order anything "as is, " yet every meal is not only safer but also deeply flavorful and consistently wonderful. Becky deserves the highest praise for going above and beyond, remembering my allergies, checking every ingredient, and ensuring I order food that works for my body while still enjoying the richness of Thai cuisine. Even when I forget to mention an allergy, Becky catches it immediately, providing a genuinely life-saving level of awareness and follow-through. Becky is warm, attentive, thoughtful, incredibly detail-oriented, and radiates a kindness that makes every experience feel welcoming and supported. Every interaction leaves me feeling cared for, respected, and genuinely valued. The food itself is absolutely incredible. The chicken fried rice is a favorite, offering a perfect balance of textures and flavors: tender chicken, fluffy rice with a smoky wok aroma, crisp vegetables, and a seasoning that hits the sweet spot between savory and comforting. The ginger and salmon stir fry is bright and fragrant, with the ginger adding zing, vibrant vegetables, and tender, flaky salmon infused with sauce. The cashew stir fry is another flavorful dish, a harmony of crisp vegetables, roasted cashews, savory sauce, and protein. Their egg rolls are among the best, crispy outside, hot inside, filled with savory goodness, and perfectly paired with their dipping sauce. The Panang salmon is beautifully cooked, nestled in a rich, creamy, aromatic Panang curry sauce that is silky, fragrant, and perfectly balanced. My friend raves about their mixed seafood stir fries, praising the generous portions, fresh seafood, and bold, consistently delicious flavors. They also make excellent Thai teas, including a thoughtful and appreciated vegan version that is creamy, refreshing, and delicious without sacrificing flavor. The overall service is warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, feeling even better than family. The chefs clearly know what they're doing, preparing every dish with intention and pride. The entire team creates an experience that keeps me coming back. I also love their outdoor patio – shaded, spacious, and comfortable, making the meal even better. Thank you, Becky, and everyone at Sukho Thai for making every visit safe, delicious, and full of kindness. It's absolutely one of my favorite spots.

My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I had the best Thai food I’ve had outside of Thailand. The yellow curry and pad see ew were absolutely fantastic! I will definitely be back :)

I've been a regular at this restaurant for a couple of years now, and I can confidently say they serve some of the best Thai food in SD. While I often stick to their noodle dishes, I've explored other options with great success. Last night's experience with the braised beef panang curry was absolutely phenomenal in every way. It was one of those rare dishes that makes you forget everything else and just savor the moment – truly something special!

My experience at this restaurant was mixed. While the yellow curry and pad c ew were good, the spice level was disappointingly low, even at a level 3. The tom yum soup was probably the worst I've ever had, and I eat Thai food often. The food itself is decent, but the taste definitely does not match the price. The service received a 5/5, atmosphere a 4/5, and food a 3/5.

We stumbled into Sukho Thai for lunch and were blown away. The flavors were incredibly fresh and the meat was cooked perfectly. The noodles in my Pad See Ew were a real standout — rich, savory, and perfectly balanced. The lettuce wraps are also a must-try, packed with crisp, fresh ingredients that make every bite light but flavorful. Prices were very reasonable, and the staff and service were terrific. Our go-to Thai spot has always been Bahn Thai, but honestly… this was just a little bit better! 🤫 Highly recommended if you’re craving authentic Thai food with bright, fresh flavors.

As a frequent visitor, I appreciate that the servers remember my name and my usual order, which is exactly what I look for in a neighborhood diner. While I'm not a fan of their Pad Thai because it's unusually sweet, their yellow curry is exceptional. I highly recommend trying the yellow curry with crispy chicken for a fantastic first experience. If you're sensitive to spice, ask for a level 2 on the 'how spicy' scale. As a Mexican, I find a level 4 spice to be just right.

My son and I made a last-minute decision for lunch before heading home, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. We enjoyed a quiet lunch here. Both the food and service were excellent. I would highly recommend the Pad Thai, but honestly, everything coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled fantastic. I'm eager to return soon to explore more of their menu.

What a great discovery in San Diego! The staff was welcoming and the food was excellent, a true Thai experience! We'll definitely be back before leaving San Diego!
