Best Flour Tortillas and Hot Sauce!
My experience at this restaurant was exceptional, particularly when it comes to their flour tortillas and hot sauce. No one, and I mean no one, comes even close to their quality. The hot sauce is truly the best I have ever had anywhere in the world! The fish tacos were also amazing. I consider this the greatest hidden gem of San Diego.

Best Burritos Ever Found!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! We had been searching for the best California and breakfast burritos, trying places recommended on social media, but they were a huge disappointment. We accidentally stumbled upon this place and were so happy we did. You have to come here, I highly recommend!

Bland Carnitas Burrito - Lacked Flavor
My experience involved ordering a carnitas burrito with beans for $16. The burrito contained beef, avocado, and beans, but it had almost zero flavor. I found it very boring, as it lacked any garlic, cumin, cilantro, lime, or other seasonings.

Awesome Tortillas and OJ, Needs More Space
My experience at this restaurant was largely positive, especially concerning the food. The fresh made tortillas were absolutely AWESOME, and the food and fresh OJ were fantastic. However, the dining experience could be improved with some adjustments to the seating. They need either bigger tables or improved seating outside.

Divine Street Tacos!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic, especially the food. It is a small restaurant, but the street tacos were divine. 🤤 We ended up ordering more tacos de carne asada and carnitas. The atmosphere was also great, rated 5/5, and the food was equally impressive with a 5/5 rating.

Underwhelming Seasoning, First and Last Visit
My experience at this restaurant was largely defined by the lack of seasoning on the meat. I ordered a side of carne asada and a side of pollo asada, and to my surprise, they had no salt, no pepper, or any seasoning. It was just cooked steak and cooked chicken, which left me completely underwhelmed. When I inquired about it, I was told that's how they prepare their meat and chicken, and they seemed surprised by my reaction, stating that "no one has ever made a big deal about it. " While the reviewer claims patrons love it this way, I certainly did not. This was my first and last time dining here.

Good Food, But Lacking Amenities
My experience at this restaurant was mixed. The food was pretty good but basic, and the portions were a bit small for the high price compared to other local Mexican restaurants in the same mile radius. I will say the carne asada has a very good meaty flavor which I really enjoyed. We had the California burrito and carne asada fries. We did have a bit of a dilemma because we brought our 18-month-old and they didn't have a kids menu, which wasn't a deal-breaker but we wished they had an option instead of suggesting a complicated adult-size order, since everything seemed to be $12-15+ per item. Additionally, they had no boosters or high chairs, which is difficult. We changed the order to go and I asked how many salsas we would get. I was told 6 for our order, but then when it came time, they told me I could only have 3, despite being promised a certain amount because I asked if I should buy extra and was told no. Also, there is ZERO parking. For our family personally, the lack of parking and the lack of booster/highchair situation was enough that we are glad we tried it, but we won't be returning.

Rude Service Ruined Our Meal
My husband and I visited late in the afternoon for what we considered lunch or an early dinner. I had called ahead to place an order and specifically requested a large side of beans with my two burritos. I was informed that they were out of large containers. To get the same amount of beans in small containers, I was told they would charge me for four small containers, which amounted to an additional $5. I decided to wait and address the bean situation when we picked up our food. Upon arrival, I mentioned that the last time we visited, they were also out of large containers, and they had given me four small ones for the price of a large. The man behind the counter stated it wasn't his concern and he wouldn't honor that. I explained that it wasn't my fault they were out of large containers, and he rudely replied, 'well it's not mine either, deal with it and tell me what you want. ' Consequently, I ordered two small sides of beans to go with my burritos. Meanwhile, my husband went to the salsa bar, only to find it empty. When paying, I inquired about the salsa and was asked if I wanted green or red sauce. I requested four red and two green, but was told I was only allowed two sauces per burrito. I explained that we liked hot sauce in our beans as well, but was again told only two per burrito. The entire interaction was conducted in a very disrespectful and rude manner. Even the people behind us were visibly shocked by his responses. There was a time when I would have recommended this place to others, praising it. Now, I would emphatically say, 'no way! Find another spot! ' We are locals and have been patrons since the restaurant opened, even through ownership changes. Unfortunately, the food has progressively declined with each new owner. For me, it's not worth enduring the rudeness of the workers or their peculiar zealotry regarding the salsa. We will not be visiting again and will advise others to do the same. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with the owner about the blatant rudeness and disrespect we experienced.

Still My Fave After 15 Years!
I've been coming here for over 15 years, and it's still my favorite spot. If you're new, be aware that your food is made to order, and there's typically only one cook. It's definitely worth the wait! The homemade flour tortillas are incredibly soft and velvety, deserving their own menu item. The enchilada sauce is bomb, and the service is always kind and humble. This place is my comfort food ♥️. I recommend grabbing your burrito and heading to Sunset Cliffs to enjoy it. Perfecto!

Best Burrito Spot in San Diego!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I absolutely loved their tortillas; they were so thick and completely homemade. The California chicken burrito was the bomb! They also offer delicious banana leaf wrapped tamales, though they aren't available all the time. This is my favorite burrito spot in San Diego.
