This was our 4th day in San Diego and our 2nd visit to Mevan. After trying several places, none have come close to Mevan. We'll be here for another week and will definitely be returning. Everything about this place is perfect. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is friendly yet efficient, and the decor is stunning. The cleanliness is faultless. If you live in San Diego, do yourself a favor and come here at least once. You will definitely be back!

My experience at Mevan Coffee was wonderful! From the moment I walked in, the warm and natural tones that mirror a sunset created a welcoming atmosphere. The ambient lighting was perfect, making it an ideal spot for a date. I was particularly impressed with the house-made chai, and the barista, Lance, showed genuine care by asking about the sweet to spice ratio in my ‘dirty chai’. It was perfectly balanced! 🥰 Another highlight was witnessing a worker serve food with a gloved hand, which is rare and very appreciated. Thank you, Mevan Coffee, for being attentive to your craft and courteous to customers. I’ll be coming here more often.

My experience at this charming cafe was delightful. I tried their cardamom oatmilk latte, which was absolutely delicious. The avocado toast was also interesting, featuring a generous amount of beets that provided a unique texture and flavor. I'm eager to return and explore more of their offerings!

I’ve been searching for a long time for a place that offers both really good coffee and delicious breakfast, and we finally found it! The atmosphere is amazing, the food is delicious, and the service is excellent. Highly recommend!

I absolutely have to recommend trying the desserts; they are on a completely different level. The craftsmanship is amazing, and they taste even better than they look. Mevan is my go-to Hillcrest coffee spot. It's a cute little hole in the wall that serves excellent coffee made by extremely talented baristas. Their flat white is always absolute perfection, with next-level latte art and flavor notes that seriously pop. Their signature Spanish-flavored latte is also balanced to perfection. Lanz is insanely skilled, and the whole team is passionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming, which makes the experience even better. You can tell these guys have dedicated their lives to coffee and work hard to create a friendly, inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend stopping by and spending your whole coffee budget here.

My experience at this shop was wonderful. John and August are typically there running the place and they make it feel like a home away from home. The food and coffee are top tier, and they even have outlets everywhere for your convenience.
