Great Atmosphere and Service, Small Portions
My experience at this restaurant was largely positive. I loved the atmosphere and found the service to be better than expected. However, the portions were small. Overall, it was a great experience with excellent service and a wonderful ambiance, though I wished the food portions were more generous.

Great Food, Parking a Bit Tricky
This was my first time dining at this restaurant with friends, and we absolutely loved it! The food was really good. We did have a little bit of an issue finding a good parking lot, but everything else was good.

Great Tacos in Old Town
We found ourselves in Old Town looking for Mexican food after our initial choice had closed. El Sueño was a great alternative. We arrived and had a 15-minute wait for a table for our party of 10, which was understandable. We were seated in a pleasant, heated courtyard. We decided to focus on tacos and ordered 24 of their best: carne asada, Pollo asada, and birria tacos. We also enjoyed chips, salsa, and guacamole. The waitress and her assistant were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good, with fresh corn tortillas and fresh toppings on all the tacos. I would definitely return if I'm in the area again. The bar inside looked well-stocked, and there were also indoor seating options.

Birthday Dinner with Mixed Feelings
I celebrated my birthday here today! :) The food was great, though I just wish they had aguas frescas. I can’t complain about the extended alcoholic beverages menu. The service was alright; it was pretty empty and they still took a while to get to us. Overall, it was average:)

Exceptional Service and Delicious Food at El Sueño
From the moment I stepped in, Maile completely made my night. I came in after a rough day, but her energy was contagious, warm, upbeat, and genuinely caring. She was incredibly accommodating and immediately started giving me her favorite recommendations from the menu, which all turned out to be spot on. I started with the chips and salsa (amazing, especially with the variety they bring out), and Maile brought them over with the same bright personality she carried the whole night. For drinks, she recommended a couple margaritas, and the standout was definitely the pineapple coconut margarita, hands down one of the best margaritas I’ve had. It came in a cute little bowl. For my main dish, I went with the birria tacos, another one of her suggestions, and they were absolutely incredible. Flavorful, tender, and perfectly seasoned — easily a must-try. What really sets Maile apart is how she balances professionalism with a friendly, genuine vibe. She made me feel welcomed and taken care of, like I was a longtime guest. Her knowledge of the menu and cocktails really elevated the whole experience. The vibe at El Sueño, cozy yet modern, lively yet relaxed, felt even better with her taking care of me. Overall, thanks to Maile, our night at El Sueño turned into one of those rare experiences where everything just clicks: amazing food, great ambiance, and exceptional service. I HIGHLY recommend asking for Maile when you visit, she’s the kind of server who reminds you why dining out is such a joy.

Disappointing Sunday Evening Experience
What an odd experience on a Sunday evening, with hardly anyone else present. The service was a bit sloppy. Our food arrived very quickly, with the starter and main course brought out simultaneously while we were still eating the starter. When ordering red wine, I requested Malbec from La Linda, but we were served a different, mediocre Malbec. We finished our meal quickly, especially after seeing multiple rats running around, including on the terrace. Definitely won't be returning here.

Inconsistent Service and Billing Issues
My first experience at this restaurant was marked by a billing issue where the bartender charged me for a top shelf tequila floater on my daiquiri, which I did not request, amounting to a $48 charge. Despite this, I found the vibe and atmosphere of the place to be super rad, prompting me to give it another try. My second experience was also disappointing due to the bartender's refusal to split the bill. When asked to separate three drinks for three people from a larger group of seven, the bartender told us to "figure it out, " even though the groups were clearly distinct. It's baffling that splitting a bill for seven drinks into two tabs was not possible.

Great food, odd seating choice
My experience at this restaurant was largely positive, with good food and an awesome decor. The gentleman who assisted us was attentive and even stopped to answer my question about the small salsa bowl, which I found so appealing I wished I could have taken it home. However, I do have one question regarding the seating arrangement: why was my party seated right next to another table when the entire patio was open with many other empty tables? Despite this peculiar seating choice, the overall experience was enjoyable.

Disappointing Experience with Slow Service
There are much better spots to visit for great food in Old Town. Unfortunately, this was a more than negative experience. We had family in town and were excited to try this spot. We had a 7 PM reservation and arrived at 6: 30 PM, checked in, and sat at the bar. After getting a drink, we inquired about our table at 7: 05 PM. The restaurant was not full, yet we were finally seated. Once seated, drinks and appetizers took a good while. We ordered our food and waited. The food took almost an hour to come out. Before the food arrived, we mentioned the long wait and requested just the check for drinks and appetizers. The waitress was sweet and had the manager speak with us. The manager was rude, arrogant, and unwilling to compromise or admit the food was taking too long. He stated, “it has only been 45 minutes since your order was put in” and walked away, even though the food still wasn't out. He did not offer to comp our appetizers. An unfortunate experience. There are much better spots to visit for great food in Old Town.

Ignored by Hostess, Left Restaurant
I wanted to give this restaurant a try last Sunday, but we couldn’t even get a table. It wasn't because it was busy, as the place was pretty empty. Instead, the hostess and servers couldn’t be bothered. We kept getting ignored by the hostess. After a while, we finally gave up and went next door. What a weird vibe!
