Chef Jun's: A Regular's Delight!
I absolutely love Chef Jun! I'm practically a regular here, and for good reason. The fish is consistently delicious and fresh, and the sushi rolls are fantastic.
A special shoutout to the oshi salmon – I bow to you! The service is amazing, and the place boasts an intimate ambiance with great dim lighting. Last time I visited, the Avati roll was particularly outstanding, prompting me to take a photo (see the second photo).
If you're a tuna lover like me, you absolutely must try it. There's always something new and delicious to discover on the menu; I'm working my way through it. I can't recommend it more!

Great Outdoor Dining Experience
I really liked this restaurant. I visited last week with my family for dinner. We were seated outside, but the area was fully protected and heated, which was great.
The restaurant offers a no rice roll which was delicious. It's highly recommended for vegetarians. The atmosphere was rated 5, and the service was also rated 5.
The price per person is between $20–30. Parking is plentiful. The meal type was dinner, and the noise level was quiet, making it easy to talk.
The food received a score of 5.

Great Place, Delicious Food!
Although it’s small, it’s a very nice and great place to go. We’ve been lucky to not have to wait every time we go. The food is delicious 😋.

Limited Sushi Options, High Prices
My experience at the restaurant was just fine. We only ordered sushi rolls, so it's possible the larger plate dinners are better. However, out of about 10 specialty rolls, only 3 or 4 didn't include krab.
This left me feeling quite limited in my choices, especially since I don't eat imitation crab. It felt like the restaurant chose my options for me, which was surprising given the high prices for a sushi place that relies so heavily on imitation crab.

Amazing Fish, Dry Rice
My experience at the restaurant was mixed. While the fish was amazing, they got the rice wrong, serving it very dry. However, the staff were willing to retry it.
It was really busy around lunchtime, which is understandable given it's a neighborhood favorite.

Excellent Sushi and Service
My experience at this restaurant was very positive. I ordered the Jun Omakase one time and the Sushi Kaidan (for two) on another visit. Both times, the food was very fresh and delicious.
The customer service was great, and there was no long wait time. The restaurant also has a good size parking lot. We will definitely continue to come here when we want to treat ourselves to some good sushi!
The Truffle toro was a standout favorite.

Delicious Set Menu Experience
My experience at the restaurant was fantastic! I ordered the middle set menu and found everything to be delicious. The meal was well-structured, with the rice and carbs served at the end.
The portions were just the right size to sample many different pieces, and the chef choice nigiri were fun and unique selections.

Best Sushi in San Diego!
My experience at this restaurant was outstanding. I can confidently say it's the best sushi in San Diego, without a doubt. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, the portion sizes for the fillings were very generous, and the rice on the edge was perfectly thin.
The prices are also very accessible, making it a great value. We left feeling very satisfied and will definitely be returning many times. Even though they don't speak Spanish, the service was excellent.
