Mixed Experience: Great Food, Poor Atmosphere
This was my first time at the restaurant, and my experience was varied. The Shrimp Bowl was excellent. While the shrimp could have been a bit larger, it offered fair value for the money, and I was very happy with it.
However, the service was lacking; the staff at the counter weren't overly friendly, and there was no pleasantries upon delivery of the bowl. Regarding the atmosphere, the 1-star rating might not be entirely fair as the layout is neat and contemporary. I suspect it's pleasant when the temperature is comfortable.
Unfortunately, on my visit, it was freezing inside due to an open garage door and a locked-open patio door. Guests were wearing hoodies and even gloves while eating. When I inquired about the open doors, I was told it was cold regardless, which didn't make sense given the visible ductwork.
I ate quickly and left. I'll consider giving it another try in warmer weather.

Tasty Fish Tacos and Friendly Service!
My experience at the restaurant was great! I'm a sucker for fish tacos, and they were surprisingly very tasty. They had the perfect crunch and the sauce was the perfect spice level!
I would definitely come again for these. The service was very quick as you order at the counter and get a number. The staff were also very friendly.
There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, making it a great spot for brunch and big parties.

Exceptional Staff and Comfort
My experience was incredibly positive, largely due to the staff at my apartment building. The manager, Gabriel, deserves the biggest praise for how amazing his staff treats guests, especially those who don’t live there. I’ve never felt more comfortable.

Lively atmosphere, will return
My experience at this place was great. It's located in the middle of the building community and creates a sense of a lively suburb. I was just there for a drink, but I will definitely get back.

Delicious Brunch with a Relaxed Vibe
My brunch experience was pretty good! The French toast was wonderfully soft and moist, served with fresh berries and whipped cream. I also enjoyed my iced Americano with an extra shot; it was smooth and had the rich flavor I like.
The chicken wrap was fresh and tasty, particularly the grilled chicken. Everything was nicely plated, and the outdoor seating provided a relaxed vibe. It’s a nice spot to enjoy a light brunch or coffee!

Delicious Burgers and Tacos!
My experience at the restaurant was fantastic! I had the vive burger, which was absolutely delicious, and the fish tacos were amazing. They also have a great beer selection.
I would definitely recommend this place.

Delicious Food, Great Shade, Prompt Service
I went there for a lunch meeting and the outside space was great because it had shade everywhere. The temperature was perfect, so the shade really helped to keep the sun out. The food was delicious and the service was prompt.
The variety of food was exactly what we needed. I had the crispy chicken sandwich and my friend had the shrimp tacos. They were both away and not too much food.

Disappointing Experience, Not Worth the Hype
My experience at this restaurant was underwhelming. The atmosphere was rated a 4, but the food, unfortunately, only received a 2. The burger was described as being just like Denny's, and the birria quesadilla was a letdown, with no comment offered as a sign of its poor quality.
Given the significant competition in San Diego, it's surprising they attempt dishes that are clearly done much better elsewhere. I was invited by a friend who had just moved from Phoenix and thought this place was the "it" spot. Even my other friend left their birria halfway through, and the person who brought us there had it to go.
It seems there's too much competition in San Diego to try to do something that everyone knows is much better somewhere else.

Delicious French Toast, Worth a Return Visit
I had a truly perfect French Toast experience, even though I wasn't expecting a French meal in San Diego! While I couldn't order the Locomoco in the morning, the French Toast was my second choice and I must apologize for ever doubting it. I arrived right when the restaurant opened, and the presence of other customers confirmed its popularity with locals.
The good mood, good service, good view, and good food all contributed to a wonderful experience. The restaurant also has 3 clean restrooms. I'm definitely planning to try the Locomoco on another visit.

Pleasantly Surprised Breakfast Experience!
My granddaughter treated me to breakfast here, and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was outstanding and was not rude when I asked questions. This was the first time I went to a restaurant and did not have to add seasoning to my food.
Even the toast was done to perfection. I will definitely be heading back. I need to experience the beer wall!
For those with pets, they are pet friendly!
