Strange Double Tip Request
My experience at this restaurant was a mix. The atmosphere was nice, and the food and service were good. However, it was quite strange that for a party of 2 people, a mandatory 20% gratuity was added, and then an additional tip was requested on the receipt for signature.
While I don't want to accuse, it almost felt like a scam. Perhaps the intentions were good, but asking for a tip a second time felt really, really strange.

A Neighborhood Gem with Great Drinks
This place is a bit of an institution in the neighborhood, and for good reason, having been around for at least 25 plus years. My experience was great, especially with the great selection of Japanese liquor and Cocktails. The bartender is really good, and the staff is friendly.
The atmosphere was rated a 5, and the service was also a 5. The noise level was quiet, making it easy to talk. While the food was rated a 4, the overall experience was very positive.

Pleasantly Surprised by Food and Service
I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at this restaurant. Victoria & Kenzo were wonderful servers! I was particularly delighted by the food, and I'm usually quite picky about sushi.
The mackarel was great, which I consider a good barometer of overall quality.

Overpriced and Undersized Portions
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. They automatically charge a 20% gratuity for what felt like doing nothing. Furthermore, the food portions were so small they wouldn't be enough to feed a cat.
Given the price per person being $100+, this was a significant letdown.

Great Variety, Mostly Fair Prices
I had a great experience at this restaurant. The menu is very large with a good variety of quality fish. While some prices were a little unreasonable, I'd say 95% are priced fairly.
Their happy hour is a great deal, and the environment is chill while also feeling a little more on the upscale side for a day drink or quick bite.

Amazing Oyster Happy Hour & Sushi
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic, particularly during their amazing oyster happy hour. The sushi was of high quality. During happy hour, there's a special offer where you can buy a bottle of sake and get 12 oysters, which is a great deal.

Perfect Ambiance and Unique Flavors
My experience at this restaurant was wonderful. I loved the ambiance, which had just the right amount of noise and mellow music that allowed for easy conversation. The food was exceptional; I particularly enjoyed the uni, describing it as tasting like the entire ocean in one bite.
The Black Sabbath roll was perfectly spicy, and the black sesame cheesecake provided a nice finish to the meal.

Delicious Fish and Amazing Uni Spoon!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I found everything to be delicious. The fish was incredibly fresh and of high quality, with much of it reportedly delivered from Japan.
I particularly enjoyed the variety of sashimi. The uni spoon was the best I've ever had!

Authentic Sushi, Amazing Service, Great Value
My experience at this restaurant was truly amazing! I was pleasantly surprised by the broad variety of the menu, featuring good authentic sushi. The fish were really fresh, and the prices were surprisingly affordable.
The service was amazing; the servers were mindfully attentive to customers, maintaining a friendly yet professional attitude. They were also really helpful with sake recommendations, which was great as I'm not very educated about sake. My waitress helped me choose a really good sake.
They also offer a Bottle of Sake/wine and dozen oyster deal. Everything was absolutely amazing, and I was surprised by how affordable this place was. Plus, it has a good location.
It's an underrated place with such good atmosphere.
