Chef'em Mariscos - Reviews

My experience at this food truck was a mixed bag. The food truck is conveniently located in front of a bar, which is a great setup if you're looking to pair your food with some drinks. The people working there were also very nice. However, the tacos themselves were just okay. I ordered two fish tacos for $14, and I definitely felt that $7 per taco was too expensive. I believe there are better tacos available elsewhere for a more reasonable price.

My experience at the restaurant was absolutely fantastic! The fish tacos were fresh and bursting with flavor. I want to give a huge thank you to the talented chef. I can't wait to visit again soon!

My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. I drove here because the menu stated they had Mariscos like ceviche or cocktails, but they had none. It turned out to be just an average food cart.

Visiting SD, I found this little spot for some fish tacos. I even forgot to get water at first, but they kindly gave me a bottle anyway. Oh, and the tacos were freaking delicious!

After ordering a Shrimp Burrito, I was not impressed. Almost thought I was served a fish burrito as the shrimp is served fried. I expected larger portions for the price which was disappointing as my total came out to around $20 for one burrito. All orders to my understanding are dine-in only, which I wanted to take mine to go. Unless you are in the area, I would not recommend.

I tried this food truck while visiting Duck Foot Brewing on a Friday. My experience was mixed. The fish tacos were not good; they oddly used arugula for the vegetables, and the fish had a heavy, frozen taste. The breading and tortillas were also subpar. However, the 8 lemon pepper wings were much better and served as the redeeming factor in this meal. They were very salty but flavorful and full of crunch. Overall, it felt overpriced and quite slow, especially considering we were the only customer. The staff member working was kind, but I would pass on this vendor in the future.

My experience at the restaurant was fantastic! The quality of the food is always top-notch. They consistently have new things on the menu, which is exciting. The Shrimp fries are a personal favorite, and the combination of Duck foot + Mariscos is brilliant. While it can take a while if they are busy, the wait is definitely worth it for the excellent food.

My experience at this restaurant was defined by an unexpectedly long wait for a simple side of fries. I waited over 60 minutes for what should have been a quick order of normal, basic fries. The staff did not mention this extensive wait time when I placed my order. Instead of prioritizing speed, they followed a strict first-in, first-out system, meaning I had to wait for a large order of 30 tacos before my fries, even though they could have easily been prepared from the fryer basket. The fries themselves were just basic, with no meat, sauce, or toppings. The situation became so frustrating that I had to get a refund because my entire group had already left after having a few beers. Someone could drive to Taco Bell and back faster than I received my order here. While the food might be decent, getting it seems to be a significant challenge.

My experience at the restaurant was incredible! They offer gluten-free everything, and it was all soooo good. The fish and chips were the best, and the fish tacos were excellent. The fish nachos were wow!

My experience at this restaurant was fantastic. I had the fish taco and the ceviche tostada, and both were delicious. However, the fish taco was truly amazing. I'm already planning to return tomorrow for more fish tacos. Additionally, their habanero and green salsa are the best I've had.
