Best Tamales in San Diego!
My absolute go-to for the best tamales in San Diego. I'm a huge fan of banana leaf tamales and this place never disappoints. Don't be weary of the name, they can actually master multiple things. The owner is the kindest man and is very hard-working. You can taste the integrity in their food. My favorite are the green pork tamales in the banana leaf!

Outta This World Flavors!
I popped into this restaurant midday on a Monday and was instantly greeted with a smile and recommendations. I ordered the milanesa torta and champurrado. OMG! The flavors were outta this world! I also had the chance to taste the chili cheese tamale. 🔥. It was so SO GOOD! I'm definitely coming back for more. I'd give it 6 stars out of 5 and highly recommend it!

Pineapple Tamales Are Bomb!
My experience at the restaurant was fantastic! The pineapple tamales were absolutely bomb, bringing back childhood memories for my friend who said they were as good as his mom used to make them. 💣 I tried all the flavors and I will definitely return for more. The food was a perfect 5/5, and the atmosphere was equally impressive at 5/5. It was a quiet and comfortable setting, making it easy to talk. The overall experience was excellent.

Mixed Feelings on Pizza and Wings
My experience at the restaurant was a mixed bag. The pizza was a bit too cheesy and greasy for my liking. However, the tamales were a pleasant surprise – they were big and tasted good. On the other hand, the wings weren't cooked long enough and would have been better if the sauce was cooked into them. The customer service was good, with nice people. Overall, the food was just par.

Best Mexican Food and Sweet Breads!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The Cuban cake was the best I've ever had, and the sweet breads were a delight. It's truly the best place for Mexican food. The atmosphere was great, rated 5/5, and the food also received a perfect 5/5. Service was also rated 5/5, and the wait time was up to 10 minutes. The price per person is between $10–20, and the noise level was quiet, making it easy to talk.

Favorite Spot with Amazing Food!
There is currently a bug with Google Maps that may lead you to the wrong location. The correct address is 888 S Euclid Ave, situated right by the King-Chavez Health Center on S Euclid and Logan. If Google Maps directs you to an empty area, proceed about 5 minutes south on Euclid (1. 3 miles). Searching for “Lucy’s Bakery & Pizza” might also guide you to the correct spot. You absolutely do not want to miss out on this place; it's honestly my favorite restaurant at the moment. I've tried the torta de tamal, torta de milanesa y chicharrón, pork tamales in hoja de maíz, pork tamales in hoja de plátano, and the champurrado, giving them all 5/5 stars! The customer service is also spectacular.

Delicious Tamales and Friendly Service!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I stopped by on my way to a job and was immediately greeted by a very friendly owner who offered great info and recommendations. I ordered 7 tamales and asked for some to take home, which they happily provided. The owner also informed me about their Thanksgiving and Christmas order options, including local delivery. I only had time to try one chili cheese tamale, but it was absolutely delicious. The masa was soft and fresh, and the chili cheese filling was unique and unlike anything I've had before. I highly recommend this place, especially with their deal of 'buy 12 tamales, get 1 free'.

Delicious Chorizo and Egg Torta!
I was driving by the other day and saw this place, and I just knew I had to try it sometime. I finally got the chance today and I'm so glad I did! I ordered a chorizo and egg torta and a chile & cheese tamale. Both were absolutely delicious! I highly recommend giving this place a try; you will not regret it.

Terrible Pizza and Raw Wings
My experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. I've never had pizza that tasted like nothing before; it was just tomato paste(?) and dough. The wings were even worse – they were raw with sauce dashed over at the end. I cannot recommend this place.

Hidden Gem with Excellent Food and Value
I discovered this hidden gem after hearing about it for a while. My experience was fantastic! The pizzas were excellent, and the tamales were also delicious. What truly impressed me was the price, which was just right, especially in a time when everything seems to be increasing. Finding a spot with affordable good food is a major win. The restaurant is under new management, and the owner shared exciting plans for the future. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to try the White Girl Pizza and other pies that looked promising.
