Best Shawarma Joint
My experience at this restaurant was great. I found the shawarma to be the best in the city, with only one other place being slightly better. It's a go-to spot for shawarma, and I've enjoyed many delicious ones here over the years. The food is consistently on point.

Favorite Shawarma Spot!
This is my favorite shawarma in the city. I used to get it for lunch at work like four times a week. The food received a perfect score of 5, and the service was also excellent with a score of 5. The atmosphere was rated a 4. I highly recommend the Chicken Shawarma Wrap. For vegetarians, there's a vegetarian menu or section and it's highly recommended. Parking is unavailable and difficult to find.

Tiny spot, big flavor!
This is a literal hole in the wall, only seating 1-2 people. It's kinda pricey, but that makes sense for a small business in the Bay Area. The food is absolutely worth it, and the service and atmosphere were both rated a 5/5. It's highly recommended for vegetarians, and there's a vegetarian menu or section available. There was no wait time, and the wheelchair accessibility is good with double doors and no step. Parking is difficult to find and unavailable.

Amazing Food and Drinks, Quick Service!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The food was great, fresh, and tasty. 😋 I was also impressed with the amazing drink options, which included many types of kombucha, bottled coke, mango lassi, and loads of juices, filling two full standing refrigerator containers. Ordering food was easy and it was quick to get. They offer kabob plates generously stacked with meat and sides, as well as a veg option with falafel. Yum! The staff were also nice. The atmosphere was rated a 4, food a 5, and service a 5.

Nostalgic Gyro Hit
It has been a minute since I visited my old stomping grounds. Back when my office was in Embarcadero 2, I used to swing by this spot almost every week. Today, nostalgia (and hunger) hit, so I stopped in to grab my go-to order -- the Lamb and Beef Gyro. It still hits the spot, just like old times. The gyro is $15. 99, which is pretty average for a quick lunch in the Financial District. Now, despite the name, this "gyro" does not come in pita. Instead, it's wrapped in a shawarma-style flatbread. Personally, I do not mind the switch, but I know some purists might raise an eyebrow. Just a heads up! There is no dine-in space here, so be ready to grab and go. Luckily, there is no shortage of spots nearby -- plenty of open seating around Embarcadero Center, or you can head to Justin Herman Plaza and enjoy your meal with a side of people watching. Not a bad lunch break if you ask me.
