Absolutely Love This Sushi Spot!
I absolutely love sushi 🍣! If I could eat sushi every day, I would. I love that I can stuff my face without guilt.
This is a place my family heads to when it's Sushi Time! The ladies are very kind and the service is effortless. The food is great.
I'm satisfied. Now I want sushi, but it's 10: 30 pm, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow. Thank you, Sam, for being so nearby.
See you soon!

Affordable Sushi with a Few Hiccups
My experience at this restaurant offered a great balance of affordability and delicious sushi. The extensive menu provided a wide variety of offerings, and we enjoyed sharing nigiri and four rolls. On the downside, some of the nigiri pieces were still a bit frozen, and the cold AC made the indoor dining area quite chilly on a cool day.
While our server was kind, the service was slow due to what seemed like an understaffed restaurant, leading to a less attentive experience than I'm accustomed to. Overall, if you're seeking an affordable and delicious sushi option, I'd recommend this place, perhaps even considering takeout.

Massive Cali Crunch Roll Delight!
My experience with this restaurant was for take out. I was absolutely amazed by the Cali Crunch Roll; it only had 5 pieces, but each one was MASSSIVE and we loved it. We also ordered the Seattle Roll, which was a more standard sushi size with about 8 pieces.
Both rolls were great.

Favorite Neighborhood Sushi Spot
This is my favorite neighborhood sushi restaurant. The fish is always delicious, fresh, or extra fresh. The sushi is well made, the staff is pleasant, and the restaurant is clean, adorned with beautiful photos of cherry blossoms.
My experience was very positive, highlighting the quality of the food and the welcoming atmosphere.

Great Food, Terrible Atmosphere
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The sushi was truly great, earning a perfect score. However, the dining atmosphere was a significant letdown, rated only a 1.
The noise from other guests echoed, the pop music was excessively loud, and the tables were too squished together. This created a stressful and overwhelming experience. I will definitely be opting for takeout next time.

Dangerous object found in sushi!
My experience with this restaurant was extremely negative due to a serious hygiene issue. I ordered delivery and found a long, sharp object in the salmon roe sushi. I couldn't tell if it was plastic or a bone, but it was disgusting and dangerous.
I had to spit it out. This place has serious hygiene issues. Avoid at all costs!

Inconsistent Fish Quality - A Gamble
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag, primarily due to the inconsistency of the food quality. While it can be a great value when the fish is good, it's unfortunately not something you can count on. I've had outstanding sushi here, but twice now, some of the fish presented was BAD, with a strong rotten smell and inedible.
In response to the owner's question, the main culprit was the rainbow roll, which contained two different types of bad fish, possibly tuna and an unidentified white fish. The unagi nigiri also had an issue with the eel. The service was rated 4, and the atmosphere a 3, but the food received a low score of 2, reflecting the significant issues with freshness.

Sam's Sushi: The Absolute Best in Seattle
I think my original review doesn’t do the justice to this place so I’m updating it. This is an absolute best sushi place in Seattle. Sometimes I want sushi on Sunday and they are closed on Sunday which is the only reason I try sushi in other places.
And every time I end up disappointed and regretting ordering from anywhere else, because nobody matches the quality of Sam’s sushi. Sam’s sushi are the best in the city. Original review: Good quality sushi, cozy atmosphere, fast and friendly service 🥰

Favorite Sushi and Katsu Spot!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! It's a great little sushi spot and more, with an amazing atmosphere and a very high-quality feel. I consider it one of my favorite places for both sushi and katsu in Ballard.
The katsu chicken was absolutely amazing, and everything else we tried was equally impressive. I would definitely recommend this place!
