Solid Italian with Great Service
My experience at Cafe Lago was quite positive. It's a very solid Italian spot in Seattle. I found the ravioli to be a must-try, and contrary to some other reviews, I actually enjoyed the pastas more than the pizza. While I've had better pizzas elsewhere in Seattle, with the dough here being on the chewier side and lower hydration, the pastas were a highlight. Their tiramisu was a good standard for any Italian restaurant. The restaurant is fairly loud, and while the interiors are nice, the tables are quite close together, making it less ideal for an intimate date night. However, the food quality and excellent service make it a place worth visiting in Seattle.

Cozy Romantic Dinner with Delicious Pizza
My experience at this restaurant was wonderfully romantic and cozy. The lighting was dark and candlelit, creating a very intimate atmosphere, perfect for celebrating my husband’s birthday. We found the food to be delicious, especially the pepperoni and the tomato sauce on the pizza. The service was excellent, as reflected by the perfect score. Overall, it was a very romantic and enjoyable evening for both of us.

Cafe Lago: A Seattle Gem
My experience at Cafe Lago was exceptional. The incredible staff and wonderful environment truly make it one of Seattle's dining jewels. I particularly enjoyed their wonderful wood fired pizzas. The lasagna and home made pastas were both flavorful and fresh. The menu's seasonal rotation is a great touch, and if you're there when the nectarine salad is available, you absolutely must try it – it was one of the best things I've ever eaten!

Gem with Perfect Food, Drink, and Vibes
Cafe Lago is a gem. We reserved a large table and had to change our group size four times leading up to the event. The managers were gracious, flexible, and responsive. The food, drink, and vibes were perfect.

Outstanding Pizza, Disappointing Desserts
We visited this restaurant for dinner to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and it was an excellent choice. We ordered Romanesco, a couple of wines, and the Caprino pizza, which was absolutely outstanding. Honestly, it’s one of the best pizzas I’ve had since Spark Pizza. We will definitely return to enjoy this pizza again and try the pastas. On a side note, the desserts, especially the gelato, were disappointing.

Delicious Lasagna and Great Experience
My experience at this restaurant was absolutely wonderful. We started with the broccolini app and bread service, both of which were so good. The lasagna was delicious, and I highly recommend it. While there was a $30 corkage fee for bringing our own bottle of wine, the restaurant also offered a great selection of wine, cocktails & mocktails. I will definitely return.

Reliably Good Food, Wish for Consistency
My experience at this restaurant was reliably good, especially the chicken dish. It's a standout, and I wish it were on the menu more consistently. That's my main suggestion for improvement. Otherwise, the food is excellent.

Consistently Wonderful Dining Experience at Cafe Lago
I was surprised to see Lago's website with a 4. 5 rating, as Cafe Lago is one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. They consistently offer some of the best service and an overall wonderful dining experience every time. I've celebrated my birthday here yearly for at least the last 5 years, and each visit, the food and atmosphere are ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. While I love all their dishes, their fall pastas are my favorite. Plus, the old school neon sign is a welcome sight when stuck in traffic on 24th. I can't wait to return for dinner next month.

Lovely Pasta and Ambiance
My experience at this lovely neighborhood spot was wonderful. The ambiance was beautiful, and the food was fresh. We tried the seasonal ravioli and fettuccine with meatballs, both of which were delicious. The seasonal salad was also a great addition. The service was excellent, and we had no wait time. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience.

Good Food, Lacking Service
My experience at Cafe Lago was a mix of highs and lows. The ambience was definitely a strong point, and I enjoyed being in the space. The cocktails were fantastic and very well crafted. However, the service and the food did not quite meet my high expectations, though I found the food to be good, just not fantastic. The "house made sourdough" bread starter tasted processed rather than homemade. The lasagna was subtly flavored and good, but almost too bland. My husband, on the other hand, really enjoyed his fettuccine. I'm unsure if the slow, odd service contributed to this, but the overall experience didn't feel special, and it seemed like the restaurant didn't particularly care if we were there. In a city with many wonderful dining options, a restaurant can't afford to leave guests feeling this way, even with Cafe Lago's hype. I'm giving it four stars in recognition of the good food, but it's important to note that it's not special, and the service is certainly lacking. I might try it again, but time will tell.
