Mixed Pasta Experience, Nice Service
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. I had mixed feelings about the pasta; some of it was really good, while other parts were inedible. The garlic bread was weirdly without any flavor. Considering it's an expensive place, I expected better quality. On the positive side, the service was nice.

Disappointing Pasta and High Prices
I had lunch on the patio with friends and found the waiter to be nice. We enjoyed our limoncello spritzes, and the bread and olive oil we requested were also good. However, the pasta special, fettuccine with pecorino, peas, mushrooms, and ham, was just 'meh'. It was surprising to see that these mediocre pasta bowls were $35 each, especially since they weren't served with salad or soup. Given the price and the quality of the pasta, we won't be returning.

Delicious Sicilian Food & Wonderful Service!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! It's an awesome place, incredibly clean, and has a very young, colorful atmosphere that creates a sense of brightness. The food was delicious Sicilian food, truly made with "Amuri. " We had dinner and met Nino, who was very gentle and professional, enhancing our experience. We will surely come back again.

A Delightful Italian Dining Experience
My family and I had a wonderful dinner at this Italian restaurant on Thursday, December 18th. The restaurant itself is incredibly pretty, clean, and open, creating a very pleasant and light and bright atmosphere. We started with the crispy burrata, which was very good. I particularly enjoyed the contrast of the crisp exterior with the soft interior. My husband raved about the Brasato, describing it as AMAZING and noting how tender and delicious the short rib was. Our daughter was completely happy with her Beef Ragu. I absolutely loved the Lobster bisque sauce with Tiger Shrimp special. Even our drinks were enjoyable; my Moet was yummy, and my husband loved the recommended red wine that paired perfectly with his short rib. The pasta was exceptionally good, tasting better than expected. We learned that they make their own pasta fresh, which is a significant plus. This restaurant is a great find for any occasion, offering a classy yet comfortable vibe. It's suitable for a business meeting, a romantic date night, or, as we experienced, a perfect family dinner.

Disappointing Italian Experience
I want to preface this review by stating that I mean no malice; I am simply sharing my experience. My first and last visit to this restaurant will be just that. You can find more authentic Italian cuisine elsewhere in San Diego. I had a reservation for one at 7: 30 PM and arrived at 7: 15 PM. I was seated immediately, which initially gave me a good impression. The table presentation was superb, with clean utensils and smudge-free glasses. It took about 10 minutes after being seated to be greeted by my waitress. I gave her grace, as she was clearly attending to larger parties. She asked for my drink order and if I wanted any starters. I ordered water and garlic bread. The garlic bread was just okay, a little burnt and not very flavorful. I noticed many workers present, but it seemed like no one was truly working, if that makes sense. It appeared most waiters and waitresses were walking around to look busy, relying on busboys to pick up the slack. The back-of-house staff seemed to be on the floor more than the host and servers. While I'm not an expert in restaurant operations, I found this unusual. When my waitress returned, I asked to order everything at once. I ordered the Arancine and the Carbonara. The Arancine arrived first. Presentation-wise, it looked good, but upon tasting, I knew something was off. The tomato sauce was cold, and the arancine balls were lukewarm. The saffron rice was unevenly cooked, with some pieces hard and chewy. At this point, I had been waiting 15-20 minutes for my Carbonara. A busboy inquired about my meal, and I politely mentioned I was still waiting for my Carbonara. About 5-10 minutes later, my Carbonara arrived. The waiter seemed to hesitate slightly when serving it, a small detail but worth noting. Immediately, I sensed something was wrong. The pasta sauce looked gray and smelled strange. I decided to try it, but the noodles were severely undercooked and gummy. The flavor profile was also off. Although I hadn't had Carbonara before, I know how to boil pasta, and this was definitely not cooked for the appropriate time. I felt like I wanted to throw up, and my stomach began to hurt. After two bites, I asked for everything to go and for the check from the nice waitress, who was the highlight of the evening. The total bill was $60. 55. I'm unsure if I received poor service or if it was just a busy night, but I cannot recommend this place. Especially for a new establishment, the service, food, and overall atmosphere were peculiar. From my observation, it seems the focus is more on presentation and aesthetics rather than the quality of the food.

Takeout Mix-ups, But Still Good Food
My experience with this restaurant was primarily as a takeout order, and I suspect the food might have been better in the restaurant. We were initially told our order would be ready in about 30 minutes and that we'd receive a call. However, after an hour with no call, we had to return to the restaurant to inquire. It's unclear if the food was ready and waiting without us being notified, or if it was genuinely running late and we happened to arrive at a good time. The packaging choice for a pasta with a very soupy sauce, using the same container as bread or salad, was an interesting decision, though not necessarily a negative one. I ordered the Amuri Bruschetta but received the one with prosciutto and burrata instead. Despite this mix-up, the incorrect order was very good, and I could have easily enjoyed it as my entire meal. The ravioli with crab and shrimp in a salmon sauce was good, but not exceptional in my opinion. Again, this could be attributed to it being a takeout order. The portion sizes were a bit small considering the price, but the food was ultimately filling. Personally, we found the antipasto to be better than the entrees, but the overall experience was still very good. Perhaps next time, we will opt for dining in.
