Disappointing Kitchen in a Bar
I was about 10 minutes away and wanted some quick tacos. This place came up on my Google search with a decent enough rating. When I arrived, I did not find a restaurant as I was expecting.
This place is a kitchen tucked inside a bar in a corner. You have to scan a QR code with your phone to place an order. There is no service at all or an attendant to take your order.
You need to disclose this before people waste their time driving here. Would not recommend. On a brighter note, I have discovered Carmelo's tacos half a block down the street, didn't even need to move my car.
The chicken tacos were absolutely delicious. The guacamole sauce was the perfect finishing touch. Would highly recommend Caramelo's Tacos.

Amazing Authentic Tacos and Community Support
My experience at this amazing small business was wonderful! The food is authentic and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the chicken soft tacos, served with rice and beans.
The chicken had a perfect little char that added so much flavor. The salsa and guacamole on top truly made the dish come together. Beyond the fantastic food, the owner is an amazing person for giving back to our community during our time of need.
I loved his customer service and willingness to serve others. We love TJs street tacos ❤️.

Great Sunset Spot with Delicious Tacos
My experience at TJ's Street Tacos, located inside Captain Blacks, was a super good choice for enjoying a drink while watching the sunset. The food options were really nice, and the sauces they offered truly complimented their dishes. The atmosphere was rated a 5, and the food was also rated a 5, indicating a highly enjoyable dining experience.

Awesome Free Dinners & Sweet Staff!
My experience at this restaurant was awesome! They were giving out free delicious dinners due to a government shutdown, and the food was truly yummy. I would recommend going here all year round.
The staff was incredibly sweet and caring. It's important to note that this is a 21 and up establishment, but I definitely recommend it!

Authentic Flavors and Top-Notch Service!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I had the adobada fries, cabeza, and asada tacos, and they were all amazing. The food truly took me back to Mexico and SoCal with its bold, authentic flavors.
The salsas and guac were top-tier, and the service was absolutely 10/10. I highly recommend this place!

Best Michelada and Nachos Ever!
My experience at the restaurant was outstanding, particularly with the food. I had the best Michelada I’ve ever had, hands down. Similarly, the best nachos I’ve ever had, hands down.
The chef leading the kitchen is truly exceptional and deserves recognition for their incredible dishes. No other place compares!

Good Tacos, But Pricey
I ordered via Grubhub and thought the tacos were good, though not as good as LA tacos. However, they were quite expensive at almost $4 a taco.

Authentic Mexican Flavors and Sunset Patio
Visiting from California for the first time, my experience at this restaurant was fantastic. I have to say the flavor of their Mexican food is very authentic. The patio is also nice to enjoy during the sunset.

Disappointing Opening Hours Mix-up
I was very excited to try this place, but the experience was a big bummer. The hours on Google Maps were incorrect, stating the restaurant was open when it wasn't. I arrived at 4: 30 PM, and the bartender informed me they didn't open until 5: 00 PM.
I decided to wait and went for a walk, returning after the stated opening time. To my surprise, no employees were present, and the bartender was unsure when they would arrive. As someone who works in food service, I understand opening late, but having no staff present six minutes after the scheduled opening time is quite unusual.
Without any idea of when they would actually open, I decided to head home. I'm still looking forward to trying it out and will update my review later. As someone from Southern California, I'm always on the lookout for good Cali burritos in the Capitol Hill area.
