Fresh, Generous, and Well-Priced!
My experience at Mainstay has been consistently positive across multiple visits for breakfast sandwiches, lunch, and ice cream. Every item I've tried has been fresh, served in generous portions, and offered at a reasonable price considering the great quality. This place truly lives up to its name!

Fantastic Food, Odd Tipping Policy
My experience at this restaurant was marked by fantastic food. However, the tipping option seemed unnecessary given that customers are expected to seat and bus themselves.

Delicious Breakfast and Friendly Service
During a weekend visit, I discovered this place while exploring the neighborhood. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful when I needed assistance with my order. I tried the Pumpkin spice and a breakfast bacon sandwich, both of which were very delicious.
I appreciated that the coffee wasn't overly sugary, unlike Starbucks. They also offer alcohol if that's something you're interested in. I would definitely return if I visit again.
Highly recommended.

Awful Sausage and Hard Toast
My experience at this restaurant was awful. I ordered a sausage, egg, and avocado toast, and it was a complete disappointment. The sausage was surprisingly sweet, which I found very unusual.
Furthermore, everything lacked salt or any seasoning, and the toast was as hard as rocks. To top it off, it was incredibly overpriced. I paid $17 before tip for what I can only describe as a garbage box of sad, unsalted bullshit.
The wait time was also considerable, around 20 minutes, in an atmosphere of awkward silence.

Excellent Turmeric Latte and GF Options
My experience at the restaurant was positive, particularly with their turmeric latte, which was excellent. I was advised to ask for honey if I prefer it sweeter. Additionally, they offer some good gluten-free options.

Good Food, Inconsistent Service
I visit this restaurant about twice a month and am a big fan. I'm also a generous tipper who understands the cost of living in Seattle and tries to support staff through tipping well. However, there's one recurring issue that bothers me: even when the restaurant isn't busy, my food is often brought out without silverware, even when clearly needed.
While I understand the setup is casual and customers are expected to grab their own utensils and bus their tables, it would be a significant improvement in customer service if a server offered, "Do you need a fork or napkin? " and grabbed one from the nearby station when it's slow. This small detail makes a big difference.
I hope the owner or manager sees this and considers addressing it.

Pretentious Atmosphere, Good Food
My experience at this restaurant was mixed. While the food was good, the portions were small for the price. I found the atmosphere to be pretentious, and the woman who took my order was not friendly or welcoming.
Despite the open windows and doors, it didn't feel very dog-friendly.

Good Biscuits & Gravy, Needs Tweaks
My experience at this restaurant was delightful for a casual outing. Everyone’s food looked really good, and the service was good. I had the biscuits & gravy, which were some of the best I’d had in Seattle.
However, the gravy could use a little balancing out with acidity, and although the biscuit was good, it wasn’t quite a southern biscuit. The service and atmosphere both received a 4/4 rating.

Cashless policy is a problem
My experience was negative because the restaurant does not take cash. This policy is the problem with Seattle. They wasted my time and my lunch break after I had been working in the hot sun.
I felt unwelcome, and the reviewer stated, "Go home tech bros you are not welcome. "
