Exceptional Food and Service, Worth the Wait
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I enjoyed unique dishes of the highest quality, complemented by service of equal caliber. It was truly a great dining experience.
We arrived without a reservation and had to wait about 45 minutes to be seated at the bar, so I would definitely get a reservation next time. I also loved the open kitchen.

Amazing Sunday Roast and Rillette!
My experience at the restaurant was fantastic, especially for our Sunday roast meal. We also ordered a scotch egg and the rabbit rillette. Everything was amazing; the rabbit rillette was truly phenomenal.
The roast beef was cooked perfectly and was incredibly tender, complemented by delicious cabbage and peas, and a peppery brown gravy. I highly recommend this place.

Great Decor, Delicious Dishes, and Excellent Service
My experience at this nice restaurant in Ballard was quite enjoyable. I really liked their decor and was impressed they have a new private dining space in the back. I came for an early dinner, and the service was great.
I ordered a few of their well-known dishes: chicharrones, scotched egg, and lamb neck korma meat pie. I wish I had more appetite to try their steaks, but I definitely want to come back for their Sunday roast.

Excellent Roast Beef and Smooth Old Fashioned
My experience at this restaurant was a solid choice, and I would definitely come back to try their other roast pork belly. I visited on a Sunday early evening at 17: 30 with a reservation. The Old Fashioned was very smooth; even as someone not a big whiskey guy, I found it very good and would order it again.
The scorched eggs were a very good choice, offering great crunch and not being dry. For the main dish, I had the roast loin of beef. The gravy was the star of the dish, adding plenty of flavor.
However, the Yorkshire pudding lacked flavor and required the gravy to be truly enjoyable. Dessert was also good, not dry, and beautifully presented, providing a great way to finish the meal.

Disappointing Roast Pork and Cold Food
My experience at the restaurant was quite disappointing. The roast pork was over salted and a bit flabby. To make matters worse, everything was served cold.
They had also run out of potatoes by 5 pm, leading to a sad substitution of sun choke. However, the staff were lovely.

A Must-Visit Seattle Gem
I cannot believe this spot hasn’t been around for years! Everything was so deliberate and well executed. I haven’t seen a restaurant like this in Seattle for years.
It's exactly what the city needs. 10/10.

Exceptional Sunday Roast and More
I've dined at Little Beast twice, once for their regular menu and again for their Sunday roast. The food is truly exceptional, featuring high-quality cuts of expertly prepared meats and creative, seasonal appetizers. The service is attentive and informative without being pushy, and the atmosphere is both cozy and fun.
I highly recommend the Sunday roast experience, as it's a traditional British offering not easily found elsewhere in Seattle. My partner enjoyed the roast beef, and I savored the pork, both paired with Guinness. The pork's crackling was amazing, and the beef fat roasted potatoes are a must-order extra side.
On a previous visit for the regular menu, my friend and I were impressed by the Delmonico from the chalkboard. However, my personal favorite was the lamb neck and korma meat pie, which elevated the flavors with its spices, surpassing even their butcher shop's versions. It's wonderful to see the excellent cuts from their shop prepared so masterfully.
If you're seeking low-quality, cheap pub food and aren't willing to pay a bit more for fresh, sustainable, whole-animal butchery, this isn't the place for you. Little Beast is a very impressive and welcome addition to Ballard Ave. A beautiful meal here followed by a nightcap at Macleod's makes for a perfect evening.

Good food, tiny portions, high price
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The food itself was very good, but the portions were absolutely minuscule, especially for family-style dining. The price was outrageous, seriously double what I could get at a peer establishment.
Lesson learned.

Potential Unmet: Pricing and Experience Mismatch
Little Beast shows real potential, but the disconnect between its pricing and the overall experience is quite apparent. While the food is good and conceptually unique, its execution is uneven. I was particularly looking forward to the meat pie, given my partner's British background, but it was heavy with a crust that felt too thick.
It was enjoyable but lacked the depth of flavor and finesse expected at this price point. The steak received similar feedback. The sausage roll appetizer, however, was a highlight.
For the cost, our party expected something more distinctive. The environment contributes to this disconnect; the seating is uncomfortable, the back section was cold, and the music volume repeatedly made conversation difficult. Service was average and clearly stretched, trying its best.
These issues might be acceptable in a casual pub, but they feel out of place with a bill akin to a special occasion dinner. The pricing model exacerbates this tension. Menu prices are already high for Seattle, and a mandatory 22% fee is added on top, significantly inflating the bill.
While I support fair pay for staff, this dual charging approach feels excessive. Reading other reviews, a pattern emerged where the owner often responds defensively, correcting or lecturing customers. While new restaurants deserve grace, humility is also key.
Responding to feedback with explanations about costs or supply issues comes across as defensive. Little Beast has ambition and a following, and I hope it evolves into the experience it aims for. Currently, the food, atmosphere, service, and pricing are not aligned.
There's promise, but the balance is not quite right yet.
