Great Hotel, Terrible Food
My experience at this hotel was a mixed bag. While the hotel itself was great and the drinks were excellent, the food was unfortunately terrible. I was served a watery, raw potato clam chowder and a sad burger 😔.

Decent Food, Great Service, Mixed Experience
I finally tried this hotel restaurant after seeing it for years, intrigued by its bookstore setting. The food was decent, and the selection was good. I ordered a Cesar salad and the royal smash burger. The salad had a generous amount of Parmesan, which was great. However, the timing of the food delivery was off; my burger arrived just as I was starting my salad, which made me feel a bit rushed and dampened the dining vibe. The burger itself was flavorful and tasty, though the bottom became soggy quickly, possibly due to being medium-rare. The royal fries were tasty and perfectly crispy. The bartender/waiter was very attentive and friendly, providing great service. Overall, the food was decent, and the service was great, with a not-bad atmosphere. While I probably won't go out of my way to return, the food hits the spot if you're hungry and nearby.

Good Vibe, Disappointing Food
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. While the vibe and drinks were really good, the food was not what the menu described. It's important to note that it's not a bookstore, but rather a bar with a book-ish theme.

Wish I could visit!
I would love to try this place out, but the only hours I'm able to swing by are when they are closed mid-day. Such a shame, I'd love to give them business.

Upbeat Bar with Friendly Service
We stopped in here for a quick drink on a Sunday in August after an underground tour. We chose this place from the map based on our location and direction. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was with us quickly. While we couldn’t see the dining area, the bar wasn't crowded. The drinks were great, and the bartender was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was upbeat and lively, partly due to a bridal party dressed as David Bowie, whose outfits were fantastic! We didn’t eat, so we can’t comment on the food, but the menu looked good. Drink prices were comparable to other similar places. We walked from our hotel, so we’re unsure about parking, but there is some street parking.

Cute Place, Terrible Drinks
My experience at this restaurant was mixed. The place was cute with a nice patio and a central location. However, the drinks were terrible. Our party of three ordered three different cocktails: Purple Reign, a Lemon Drop, and the Red Carpet. All of them were served barely chilled and tasted very similar, like a cross between a cherry Jolly Rancher and red cough syrup. The food received a very low rating.

Cozy Spot Near Symphony Station
I usually like to visit chill and cozy spots, and this place was definitely one of them. Located inside the hotel, it’s a little far down from the Pike Market location as it’s situated near Symphony Station. The cozy interiors and decent selections for quick whiskey needs and food options contributed to the atmosphere. While the space was a little crowded, I was looking for an outlet, and it wasn’t easy to find one. If I do get another chance, I would definitely want to explore this place more.

Beautiful Bar, Rude Waiter
My experience at this beautiful bar bookstore within a hotel was marred by a rude waiter. He was a short individual who seemed unwilling to explain the 'make your own martini' option on the menu. He also appeared annoyed when we requested separate checks, despite the bar not being crowded. The separate checks were incorrectly divided, as we wanted one for food and a drink, and another for just one drink. Furthermore, he seemed impatient, getting annoyed that we didn't pay the bill immediately after it was presented. The other staff members, however, were pleasant.

Outraged by Surcharges, Food Was Good
I am outraged at the chutzpa of management for charging a 5% table surcharge and a 2% egg surcharge. It felt like a fast one was being pulled. I question what surcharge will be next, like a 2% turkey surcharge or a 2% meat surcharge for a burger. I would have more respect if they simply raised prices by 2% instead of this nonsense. The server was very nice and the food was good. However, there are lines that cannot be crossed. I hope management grows a pair and some morals, or if not, I suggest boycotting these clowns masquerading as restaurant owners.

Delicious Drinks and Satisfying Meal
My experience at this restaurant was very satisfying. The espresso martini Johnathan made was delicious, especially with the house-made Baileys. I also enjoyed the chicken tacos, loaded tots, and layered cake. The bookstore atmosphere was cute and provided a great place to enjoy my book and have dinner after a work shift. The service and food were both rated a 5 out of 5.
