Hidden Gem with Amazing Staff!
What a hidden gem! This restaurant is a great place for any size group. They offer a wide range of wines that you can order in flights, and the food is great. The wonderful staff, Brian and Robin, take care of you like family!

My experience at this wine bar was surprisingly wonderful, especially considering it wasn't crowded. The wine choice was excellent, and the staff provided helpful explanations. The service was outstanding, contributing to a great overall experience. I will definitely come back again.

Phenomenal Wine Selection and Value
My experience at Indie Wine and Beer Bar was great, particularly focusing on their wine selection. The by-the-glass list is phenomenal, featuring unique, older bottles that I haven't seen replicated elsewhere. Unlike other places that charge upwards of $40 for Coravin pours, Indie offers a fantastic selection ranging from $12-$25, with the $25 options like a 20-year-old Brunello and a 20-year-old Chateauneuf-du-Pape offering great value. The food was also great and provided incredible value. Sitting at the counter allowed us to watch everything prepared fresh to order. The service was fantastic; everyone was attentive, nice, and knowledgeable about the wine. We will absolutely be back and will definitely be ordering some bottles online.

Tasty Food, Friendly Staff, Cozy Atmosphere
My experience at this restaurant was very positive. I enjoyed the tasty food and the friendly staff. The great wine selection was also a highlight. While the interior initially felt like an office building, they've successfully made the space feel cozy.

Tasty Food, Loud Atmosphere
My experience at this restaurant was primarily positive due to the food. I absolutely loved the ceviche and the cheese plate, and I'm eager to try more dishes. The atmosphere is decent, but when the room is packed, it becomes very difficult to hold a conversation without shouting. The service staff can sometimes lack patience and offer few smiles, though some are clearly trying their best. The primary management, however, always seems unhappy, lol. On the plus side, there's plenty of parking and an outdoor area, making it a really nice place overall.

Gem for Happy Hour with Great Views
I'm very glad I chose this local gem for our catch-up happy hour. The experience was fantastic, offering great wine, accommodating service, and good food. The bar is conveniently tucked away from the Embarcadero's noisiness and features a nice outdoor seating area. The view is truly special, with one end providing a perfect view of the Bay Bridge, reminiscent of the iconic Dumbo spot in Brooklyn, and the other offering a greenscape of Telegraph Hill. The inside is also a pleasant place to lounge. We opted to sit outside at the fire pit and thoroughly enjoyed our flight selection of all aged wines, where you can choose any wine off their menu. For food, we loved the shishito peppers, which were fried in a spicy soy sauce we couldn't get enough of. The oysters were fresh and nicely presented. The short rib was good, though it could have been a bit more flavorful, but we really liked the char on the brussels sprouts. I will definitely be back for another happy hour to enjoy more wine, more food, and another order of those shishito peppers!

Rustic Outdoors, Lively Indoors
My experience at this restaurant offered a tale of two settings. The outdoors provided a rustic charm with lovely views of the Bay Bridge and the picturesque Green Street, showcasing its hills and elegant houses. This was definitely the best feature of the place. Indoors, however, the atmosphere was quite different, hosting a speed dating event that transformed the venue into a 'meat market' or 'pick-up joint'. While the outdoor ambiance was a highlight, the rose wine unfortunately gave me a headache the next morning. A positive aspect of meeting friends here was that it allowed me to explore the entire Embarcadero area.

A Hidden Gem with Delicious Food!
I had an excellent time at this restaurant for a retirement celebration! I only wish I had discovered this neighborhood gem sooner. The outdoor atmosphere is wonderfully secluded from the city's hustle and bustle, and the easy street parking is a definite bonus. The pizzas and fries were absolutely delicious, and Indie offers a large wine selection at fair prices. I enjoyed the space so much that I attempted to return on Sunday, only to realize they are closed. A must-try!

Ignored and confused service
I was at the restaurant for a retirement party and was in line to place an order. The server ignored me and asked to help a coworker next to me. I let it go, but then she asked, "Next? " Another guest from my party went up to order, and that's when I told her I'd been waiting to order. When I ordered the Pure Leaf tea, she asked if it was black tea. I had no idea, as the menu had no description, and there was only one tea listed. I didn't know if they had other teas not on the menu. It felt like it was her first day on the job. It would have been helpful if she had asked, "Have you been served? "

Exceptional Service and Comfort
My experience at this restaurant was wonderful! The service was super attentive, and they went above and beyond to accommodate my needs after foot surgery. They even brought over a crate so I could elevate my boot, which was truly appreciated. The staff was hustling the entire time, yet remained unassuming and very personable. I would definitely recommend a visit.
