Best Bar in San Diego!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! From the moment I walked in, the bartender, Steph, made me feel right at home. I believe it's the best bar in San Diego, offering the best service.
The food is also amazing, and I would definitely recommend it. I gave it 5 stars because I couldn't give 10. If you go on Thursdays when Steph is working, you won't regret it!

Unwelcomed and Ignored
My family and I arrived at the restaurant and were not greeted or welcomed by anyone. We seated ourselves at a table and waited to be assisted. After several minutes with no staff approaching to take our order, we decided to leave.
The restaurant was not busy, with only about five other people at the bar.

Great Bites and Chill Vibes
I was in town to meet up with friends and we wanted to grab a quick bite and drinks before starting the night. We found this spot around the corner from our Airbnb. The place was nice and pretty chill.
Their fries were really good and their salad as well.

Terrible Food, Loud Atmosphere
My experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing. The food was absolutely terrible. We ordered grilled fish tacos, a side salad, and cheese fries.
The salad was okay, but I disliked the dressing. The fish was way overcooked and dry, and the sour cream sauce didn't help. I suspect the restaurant is ready to be demolished for a new tower and they no longer care about their quality.
It was a Sunday, and they seemed clueless about football, which was surprising. The atmosphere was very loud, making it hard to hear. The service was rated 4, but the overall food quality was a 1.

Classic American Bar with Friendly Folk
My experience at this classic American bar was great. I was able to have a drink with my friends and hang out. The bar folk were very approachable, and the prices were good.

Great Drinks, Haven't Eaten Yet
It's been years since my last visit, but this place remains a great spot for drinks. I didn't have any food this time, but the dishes I saw others enjoying nearby smelled delicious.

Great Prices and Vibe at Froggys!
I was really impressed with my experience at Froggys. The prices were great, and the vibe was cool. My drink was strong.
It’s a small place, so it can fill up and empty in a matter of minutes. I’m excited to come back!

Great Work Party at Froggys!
My experience at Froggys for a work party was fantastic. We all had such a great time. The bar staff was incredibly warm and gracious.
A special shoutout to photographer Marcos for capturing great pictures of our group. We really enjoyed putting tunes on the jukebox and just hanging out. The drinks were delicious, the food was good, and the service was outstanding.

Chef's Ballsy 5-Star Review!
My experience at this restaurant was marked by a rather unusual situation. The chef, or rather the line cook, gave themselves a 5-star review just two weeks prior. This raises questions about preferential treatment.

Rude Manager Ruins Dog-Friendly Experience
Froggy’s food is amazing, and the bartenders are wonderful. However, my experience with the manager, Jenn, was extremely negative. I regularly bring my dog, who is usually allowed on my lap, as the restaurant permits dogs.
Today, during an inspection, I asked a bartender about taking my dog off my lap, and they were unsure. I decided to keep my dog on my lap since dogs are allowed. The manager, Jenn, then approached us aggressively, demanding, "I need these dogs on the ground dogs on the ground now.
Now. On the ground now! Now!
" I explained that a polite request would have been sufficient and that her bossy and intimidating tone was uncalled for and unprofessional. I made it clear when paying that I had never been spoken to that way before and would not have kept my dog on my lap if I had known it was an issue. She ignored my feedback.
I have never been treated so rudely at a place I patronize regularly. UPDATE: Jenn's response did not address my actual complaint, which was her rudeness, not the rules themselves. I am happy to follow rules when aware of them, but there's no need to be rude to any customer.
