Excellent Brunch Experience!
We visited for Saturday brunch as a party of 8. The restaurant was incredibly accommodating and nice. We informed them about our food allergies, and they were very accommodating. The food and service were both excellent. The atmosphere was rated 5/5, service 5/5, and food 5/5. The noise level was quiet, making it easy to talk. We would 11/10 recommend this place.

A True Seattle Institution
This place really hit the spot, offering a welcome alternative to the often overpriced, vibe-driven counter-service burger joints that characterize Seattle's restaurant scene. If you're looking for a sit-down meal with a real plate, knife, and fork, this is the place to go. I've heard it's an institution, and that reputation is well-deserved. Just be mindful of the parking situation; the lot is oddly shaped with a single-lane entrance/exit, and finding parking can be somewhat difficult.

Delicious Mediterranean Omelet and Fantastic Service
While on a walk in Wallingford, I discovered the Varsity Inn in the south end of the neighborhood. Intrigued by the “espresso” sign outside, I decided to settle in and explore the menu for lunch. The server recommended the Mediterranean Omelet, a dish made with eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, feta cheese, onions, and olives, served with hashbrowns and toast. The food arrived quickly, and I was impressed by the generous portion size, exclaiming, “wow that is huge, it is way too much food! ” The food was absolutely delicious! The combination of ingredients was well-balanced and flavorful. The hashbrowns were perfectly cooked, and the service was fantastic!

Mixed Feelings: Great Staff, Mediocre Food
My first time here was a mixed experience. The staff was great, providing excellent service. However, the food was mediocre. While it came out fast, the hashbrowns lacked crispness and seasoning, and the toast was barely toasted. My over medium eggs were a bit overcooked. My son enjoyed his French toast, and the bacon was okay.

A Community Staple with Delicious Food
My experience at Varsity Inn was wonderful. It's a true staple to our community. The food is delicious, and the employees are incredibly kind. Even my dog looks forward to her visits for treats! Thank you for being here. I highly recommend stopping in for a buckwheat pancake and saying hi to Patty!

Classic Diner with Great Food and Service
My experience at this restaurant was like stepping back in time to a perfect old school diner. The staff were very nice, the coffee was good, and the omelettes were great. This place has been around forever and continues to serve great diner food.

Pancakes Great, Huevos Not So Much
My experience at the restaurant was mostly positive, with great pancakes. However, the Huevos were a letdown; it was my first time trying them, and I wouldn't want to have them again. The pancakes, on the other hand, were excellent.

Great Vibe, Pricey Food
I'm not sure how others are rating this place 5 stars. The restaurant has a great old school Seattle diner vibe, but the prices are what you would expect for a fancy dinner place. The food is average diner food, but the prices make me want to rate the place 3/5. It's too pricey for the food quality.

Tasty Brunch Near UWMC
My experience at this diner near the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) in Seattle was quite pleasant. They appear to serve only breakfast and lunch, not dinner. I enjoyed a brunch of the Spinach and Mushroom Omelet, which was very tasty. It came with Hollandaise sauce, shoelace potatoes, and an English muffin. The serving size was generous, as I had enough to take home for breakfast the next day. Parking is available in a small dirt lot behind the building, as well as on the street.

Great Diner with Mexican Specials
My experience at this American Diner was fantastic! The staff is incredibly friendly, and we've been regulars for years, especially loving Patty. The daily specials are a highlight, with many being Mexican inspired. They also offer espresso drinks and mimosas, perfect for enjoying with breakfast.
